Yeah, sometimes in an early season like that, before teams have had a chance to play much yet, they don't really know what to expect. It just so happened that UK didn't realize how good they could be yet and KU got a performance out of a guard they may never get again and thought they were better than they really are.
If Kentucky didn't wear down in that game against Kansas they would have won. Silver lining- At least they were able to learn some things about closing out a game. This team will be even better once we get some big man depth and size. Hunter Dickhead won't want any part of UK next time.
Well, the right guys (Dillingham and Sheppard) both got themselves in foul trouble.
It's an early season game...you play a season to prepare for the end. Uconn lost 5 of 6 in December last year. Everyone moved on and didnt obsess over the past...look what happened

I hate KU with the fire of a 1000 suns, especially after working at KU for 5 years and marrying a jayhawk. To be fair, we needed OT to beat SJU, so we can't really knock them for winning by 8 vs EIU
Kansas only won because that kid played out of his mind and never will again.
Meh, let it go. People on here can gripe and moan about beating Eastern Illinois by only eight, but as of November 29, 2023 UK still has no answer for Dickinson. 27 points and 21 rebounds. That game is in the rear view mirror, but more than a few are letting KU live rent free in your head.

Dude SJU is in the Atlantic 10. That’s a good league. I’ve never even heard of Eastern Illinois.
Really unbelievable what Harris did against us and what he has done the rest of the season. 23 points on 5-6 from 3. 6 other games he has a combined total of 19 points on 1-9 from 3.

We should employ the same strategy we did against Miami against practically everyone going forward, even if they aren’t great 3-point shooting teams. Run them off the 3pt line. We score so much that teams cannot hope to beat us without making a bunch of 3’s (whether they normally do or not). It wasn’t Dickinson that beat us, it was the 3’s we gave up.
