Marquette UCONN

Probably none of them. Hurley stated that if he brings a guy in, and that guy seems bored or is on his phone during the stay, then UCONN moves onto the next guy. As it should be. Someone like that isn't teachable. I work with dips like that. They always seem bored to death at work, but they don't actually do much and all they do is complain and make threats about quitting.

Cal probably loves kids on their phones as he views them as bored with the idea of college, and waiting for something better.
Actually Cal has stated recently he had to take their phones--because they were all reading where the "Mock Drafts" were placing them and let that effect them. LOL

True story. Cal is 100% correct about how he tries to talk with the players about this but they still will get upset because Scoop McDunk's Mock Draft has them undrafted and come to find out Scoop McDunk is a 12 yr old at Ballsack Elementary.

Not true. Mitch wants Drew.

Hurley wouldn't come here IMO. He has 0 reason to do so.
Never seen Jones and Tucker as sure on anything as they are that Scott Drew is the one Barnhart wants. If they are right he will almost certainly be the first person offered. Hurley is a very serious coach and my number one choice. I don't think he will come either but I would make him say no.

UConn is gonna win it AGAIN. Hurley should be the next coach. Unquestionably. But he won’t leave.

UConn is fighting to be the next gold standard. And succeeding.

Well we are Kentucky and they are Baylor so …….none of our 5 NCAA championship winning coaches had ever won a title before arriving at Kentucky. Being at Kentucky matters .
Dan Hurley style of play, philosophy, and doesn't care about NBA and can recruit, and will probably win back to back titles at UCONN make Hurley the front runner over Scott Drew. Again, he shouldn't be first call.

I think 90+% of us agree but Brainfart seems to have his guy. Our only hope is a committee that over rules him however I don't think that will happen with Capilouto as president him and MB are very tight. He didn't want Cal either but the hierarchy and his stature have changed since 2009.

I absolutely agree. I would walk to UConn to help him pack. Drew would be about my 5th choice. But I would still be very happy to replace what’s left of Calipari with Drew .

I said he should be in the bottom of the top 5 calls. Which makes him number 5 of 1. Dan Hurley should be 1st, Drew should be 5th.
Well duh, everyone agrees Hurley should be the first call, just seems odds are low he would leave. Who do you have 2-4?

I think Hurley would come if the offer was right and the right timing.

1. Dan Hurley
2. Bruce Pearl
3. Tommy Lloyd
4. Nate Oats
5. Scott Drew

No one from the NBA, it doesn't work out.

Respectfully disagree with that list - def Drew over 2-4 you have listed.

Remember about Hurley - he played college basketball in the northeast , coached entire time in college in northeast. Especially if Uconn wins the the title this season, got to make a offer that makes him the highest paid coach without a doubt.

Your five is my five. I know some aren’t realistic though.

What's your compelling reasons why Drew should be the 2nd call, other than he has won a title.

Watching Hurley coach is like watching a young Rick Pitino coaching. Hungry, focused, prepared, driven to succeed.

Now compare that to what we currently have.
