Complete strawman but correct. Everyone was getting covid. There was no avoiding it. That was always my basis for saying lockdown was stupid. Why lockdown when you cant stop it. The moment it left that lab, it was destined to infect every human.

Yes i know there would be a run on hospitals etc except that never happened. The naval ships and emergency pop up hospitals were never used. Many hospitalizations were due to the fearporn. Covid was spreading like wildfire months before we even bothered to lockdown and everything was normal until the fear started getting pumped into people's living rooms daily.

Well, since our son has never had it ,,, I have no idea when you started saying what you say you said, but some galoot making predictions without much knowledge isn't the smartest source of policy for the people who have the responsibility to shape what's actually done. Thousands of people made a million predictions.

And there was a run on the hospitals. Who did you listen to for that one? Our niece started her internship in 2020 and hardly had a break that year. Another sister's daughter is a nurse and almost quit over the load.

I don't know where you get your information about the spread rates. You can just eyeball the stats about infections. Once it became an issue, COVID went from single digits to five digit daily diagnoses in weeks. So, this "wildfire" consisted of fractions of a case per week? Not exactly wildfire. More like a can of Sterno keeping a casserole warm. If COVID had spread like "wildfire" before they started tracking where were the sick people hiding? Hospitals keep track of novel viruses so these wildfire spreaders weren't going anywhere to be treated. Pain. Incredible difficulty in breathing. High fever. And nobody went to the hospital? Have you ever met an American?

COVID was difficult but it was better in some places than others. I doubt that was luck of the draw. Not over 2 years. What some places did and didn't do will be studied by epidemiologists for years.

The point isnt even that i was right. The point is the ability to be critical. The scientific method itself is based on the ability to stand up to critical thought. Our republic based on the ability to discuss and question especially our leaders.

This is especially important for the underlying point in discussion which was the ridiculous 6 feet rule. Yes its ridiculous because it was literally made up with zero scientific foundation. Fauci admitted that under oath.

Ya doesn't sound like a big deal until you realize how many restaurants and other businesses were financially ruined all because of a literally made up distance. Hopes, dreams, and lifetimes of building and running a business down the tubes because of an arrogant fairy tale distance that had no effect.

This level of constitutional violation is something so unfathomable that really jail time is the only remedy but it will never happen.

Some states those agencies are entirely local. Read Michael Lewis's book Premonition about COVID at the very local level in California. I can't remember if California changed that because of COVID, but at the beginning, public health control was spread around to lots of smaller groups.

It was so impossible to answer, it sounded like a rhetorical question. As for its severity, viruses are often just a couple of mutations away from becoming lethal. People and other hosts get it and replication gives all viruses the opportunity to mutate.

About the president, you asserted constitutional issues. I wasn't sure what you were thinking of since there were no constitutional issues.

As for silencing criticism, that's nuts. The criticism has been constant since February of 2020. That's a very noisy kind of silencing. You wouldn't be exaggerating would you? And how that switches COVID from a health issue is just yammering for effect.
