Always love the national holiday (should be) that is Opening Day!

Looking forward to a fun season. Excited about Bourjos in CF. Anxious to see how Wong does with the starting 2B spot & glad we have Ellis to step right in there if he falters. Ready to see MCarp take the next step as a great hitting third baseman.

And can't wait to watch all the young arms, Wacha, Miller, Martinez, Rosenthal, etc., continue to develop into great pitchers.

Let's go Cards!! :)

Reds and their new manager and leadoff hitter will have an opportunity to find out what they are made of right off the bat. Unfortunately, Cincy leads the major with EIGHT players on the DL starting the season.

Adams went with the pitch and went opposite field. Very encouraged by that. Make 'em pay when the opponents put the shift on!

And what can I say about Yadi? And Wainwright? Let's go for the sweep!

Back to back 1-0 nailbiters. Interesting start to rhe season. Cingrani and Cueto looked great. Now it is Bailey's turn

Very good start to the season for the Cards!

Wainwright & Wacha showed what we hope to see from them this season. The offense showed a little life in the 3rd game, although the big inning could have easily been bigger.
Rosenthal looked sharp. Peralta hit his 1st hr.

Can't complain with a series win! Do that all season & we will have a good year!!

Rosenthal a little shaky in the 9th today but Cards hold on and have taken 3 out of 4 from the Reds so far....

OK, one thing we can all agree on.....

GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's get this done!!!!!!

Hamilton finally showed what he can do, and Mike Leake has really developed over the past two seasons

we're proud for you, but you do realize there is a Cardinals thread & a Reds thread, right? Not trying to be smart, but I don't think you will find too much discussion about those guys here.

As for the Cards, a slow start for some guys like Craig & others who will certainly heat up soon enough.

Bring on the cubbies!!

Well, still waiting for the offense to get going....hopefully that will be today.

Not sure if there is such a thing as a bad loss in a 162 game season, but last night against the Cubs was surely an ugly one to say the least.

Yadi had a rough AB in the 10th after the first 2 had walked on 8 consecutive balls.

Maybe today is the day Craig & others get it going.

Taking on the red hot 'Brew Crew beginning tonight at freezing cold Milwaukee.

Hoping the offense can get it going a little bit. Should be a fun series!

Well, gotta be honest. Not exactly the start I thought we might see. But it is a long season & any team that can throw Wainwright, Wacha & Lynn out there consistently will have a good shot at winning.

But gotta get some type of offense going. Craig, Carpenter & others need to start hitting like they are capable.

If not, then maybe we see one of the outfielders come up from Memphis & get a shot at jump starting the offense.

Glad its early in the season...

I think it's time to trade an arm or two for some hitting. We have ample and very good pitchers we can part with. IMO.

Garcia back to DL and Wacha going on DL. Is there any pitcher who has spent more time on DL the last 3 years than Garcia?
