KU's record with OAD's not that impressive

Watching the Bullets/Hawks and saw Kelly Oubre and realized KU hasn't had much success with their one and dones.

Oubre
Xavier Henry
Selby
Diallo
Ben McLemore

Wiggins and Embiid are obviously very nice and Jackson looks like he might be really good but overall pretty meh.

UK has:

2010: Wall, Cousins and Bledsoe that are all very good to great players. Orton was a bust.
2011: Knight and Kanter. Knight is ok, and Kanter plays his role well. both double digit scorers.
2012 AD, stud, MKG, hasn't been great in the NBA for a 2 pick, Teague, nothing.
2013: Goodwin....nothing much at all.
2014: Randle, very solid in his role with the Lakers. Young....almost nothing.
2015 Kat, very amazing stud, Lyles, hasn't done a lot so far but on a playoff team, and Booker...stud.
2016: Murray, started to come on later this past season and should be solid. Skal, very pleasant surprise his rookie season so I think he did well IMO.

If I missed anyone, sorry. Overall UK has some studs, some solid guys and a few disappointments IMO. By far the most success with one and dones in college and in the NBA afterwords.

I'll patiently wait for Cowherd to say anything about this, or anything about Duke's OAD's outside of Kyrie.

I thought Oubre would do better in the league

3,2,1 before Baby Poops In The Corner tells us otherwise

Do you mean me? I don't follow the NBA (or other professional sports for the most part). I enjoy college basketball and college football. After they leave for the pros I do not follow their careers anymore because it is not putting W's on my college team's ledger playing in the NBA or NFL.

Honestly I think you gotta give Oubre a little more time. But notice how there has been no mention of Cliff Alexander? Top 10 player out of high school, OAD, and in just 2 years he has been completely forgotten.

Oh wow I completely spaced on Alexander. Is he even in the league right now??

Noel has done ok for a OAD.

I knew I'd goof and leave someone off. Idk how I Forgot Noel. He has been very good for his talent level. He was expected to be a good rebounder and block shots and play D. He does that well thus far.

Of course I meant you, silly goose.

I think Perry Ellis should be included here also. Five star player that stuck around for 4 years and is not on an NBA roster that I know of. He has 4 Big 12 titles though. Wayne Seldon is a 5 star that played 3 seasons at Kansas and not on a roster that I know of. Carlton Bragg, top 20 five star player that played two years at Kansas and is now transferring.

Ole Cliffy. Top 5 prospect, ranked ahead of Towns and Russell. I wonder if he's still laughing about his hat fakeout during his commitment ceremony.

Starts for Memphis in the NBA playoffs

Spotter didn't know he was in the NBA just helping him out.

It's easy to see why I didn't know he was on an NBA roster. But hey, starting for Memphis in the playoffs well maybe he'll stick around a few seasons. He's still a former 5 star player that took three seasons at Kansas to get where he's at.

These types of jabs are dumb imo. They can turn around and say "look how good [our coach] is, he can get this player drafted when they are clearly not good enough to be in the league". Or they can point to the several top 10-15 players at UK that didn't turn out that good or did not go lottery after being projected lottery before their first season.

Knight is just okay? He has better career stats than Bledsoe who you say is good to great. Knight is the one guy since Cal has been here that fans seem to under appreciate both while here and in the NBA.

Oh and don't forget Ulis in the 2016 class who had an outstanding end to the season when get got starter minutes and averaged 22 PPG in the last 5 games of the season.

Knight has put up some decent numbers, but he hasn't been highly valued in the league.

Ulis wasn't a OAD.

For what it's worth, I started thread related to this subject on Friday (to very little interest) that essentially shows that while obviously no coach is batting 1.000, that Cal's rate of hits and lack of disastrous misses, comparative to player's positional rankings in a given year, set him way ahead of everyone else (with Rick Barnes in second, actually).

He's played in 14 games in his entire career. Don't try to frame it that any other way.

LOL! He is pretty creative...This is the same guy that when the LeGerald Vick story came out and every single piece of media that covered it clearly stated that he more than likely kicked a girl in the face said this:

Suppose that Vick was in a horizontal position when the "woman"comes in and catches him with another woman in a similar position. When the first "woman" who was working under the assumption that she and Vick were a couple made a move toward Vick his foot came out to defend himself striking the "woman". She was kicked but not in some Jackie Chan fashion.

When you combine success of the players with success on the college court, it's Cal number 1 by a long shot.

And where did I say he didn't kick her. I'm sure at age 19 in the same situation you might have done the same. In short there is a story he was having sex with another girl and girl who was central to all the stuff going on came in a caught him "cheating on her".

At least the other Diallo was able to make the smart decision.

Wiggins is good but very one dimensional.
One or done, it doesnt matter, KU players are not exactly tearing up the league.
I guess they stay to win championships, B12 championships that is

I guess they can fall back on their education like the rest of us.

Bitches. Amirite?

I never stated you said he didn't kick her. I stated that you made up some completely bat shit crazy story to try and downplay what happened and what was reported.

Also, I asked you in the thread you posted this comedy in, if you can you link the story that fits your narrative? No? Wonder why...

No, when I was 19, when I was 29, and when I will be 39, there will never be an okay time for me to kick a woman in the face. Never.

I'll patiently wait for Cowherd to say anything about this, or anything about Duke's OAD's outside of Kyrie.
All of Duke's OADs besides Tyus Jones and Brandon Ingram (~9 PPG) are averaging double figures in the NBA.

Justise Winslow: 10.9 PPG
Jahlil Okafor: 11.8 PPG
Austin Rivers: 12.0 PPG
Rodney Hood: 12.7 PPG
Jabari Parker: 20.1 PPG

Luol Deng was a Duke OAD and he averaged 15.5 PPG in his very successful career in the NBA.

I expect Ingram to have a breakout sophomore year and for Jayson Tatum to win Rookie of the Year!

I hope the Timberpuppies trade Dunn so Tyus can be unleashed as Rubio's backup.

Rodney Hood isn't a one and done. He played at Mississippi State before transferring to Duke. He was in college for three years.

Title IX case. Nothing reported on it.

That is the same as Brandon Knight's career average (15.2 ppg) and a poster said earlier he is an "okay" player. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I expect Tatum to put up a lot of points because he will jack up 20 shots per game with half of them being bad shots. Because of that I don't think he will win ROY.

Luol Deng was a much better defender than Brandon Knight though so he was way more valued in his prime than Knight is now by the NBA.

A more valid comparison for Deng's career would be Jamal Mashburn and Richard Jefferson.

Okafor is complete garbage. Will probably fall out at some point. Guy is hard to watch.

Hood played 3 years in college. Went to Miss State first.

Clearly you haven't a clue what you're talking about.
