Good perspective...though I don't think it lessens the sting of those two seasons...especially the Covid season.
That KIND OF makes me feel better. Somewhat. Sort of. Little bit, maybe.

It also shows what an aberration a losing season is here, and why we get so out of shape about it. It really is NOT Kentucky Basketball.

The first losing season was due to a complete burning to the ground of our program and NCAA violations.
The 2nd losing season was due to John Calipari who had the worst season in over 100 years and has since had the worst NCAAT loss in KY basketball history.
If anything this should tell you that outside of NCAA violations tearing our program down no other coach in our history has been as bad as Cal the past 5 seasons.
So we were good before him and will be good again once he leaves.

I posted about this once a long while back. That's the biggest consistency of Kentucky, winnning. That is why UK is the greatest program ever, "consistency".
As someone who lives around so many Tar Heels and Blue Devils, I’m appreciate this info.
Never hasn’t been “Kentucky Basketball “ to me, but maybe this can put some things in at least a little perspective for the regulars that are always doom and gloom on here.
