Kevin Knox visiting Missouri

I couldn't remember the names, but I knew that Martin had gotten some big time recruits to Cal. Never heauof them after that. Did Cal make the tournament this year?
I don't think fishy would be the right description. Knox can go to school wherever he wants. Cuonzo Martin is a good recruiter who has not been implicated in rules violations. He left Tennessee on his own terms, which speaks well for him. But there are a number of better opportunities on Knox's offer sheet. Plus, Knox's position is the only position on Missouri's roster already manned by a better player. So if I was Knox, I wouldn't pick Missouri over the other choices. But college recruiting is among the strangest of all human activities.
Jaylen Brown was a one and done; is in the NBA (3rd pick overall last year) and is now starting in place of Avery Bradley in BOS
Ivan Rabb lead the Pac 12 in rebounds this year. He was a projected lottery pick as a FR but returned to Cal this season. He's coming out this year
Porter is a kid that went to parish school in Columbia
as well as attended 3 years of HS there
His sisters play basketball for MU.....His aunt coaches there
He decided on Washington due in part because of the mess MU basketball had become, but also Lorenzo Romar is his actual godfather.
Saying he's now going to MU "because his Dad is on the staff" is not totally correct.
Porter and Knox are pretty good friends from Team USA. Again, you are off

I just find it a bit amusing that you take shots at MU football for winning the East, when 1) KY plays in the East, 2) have had a chance for a Division title since inception of divisional play, more than 25 years ago, and 3) played MU annually since 2012, ....Especially when 1976 was the last year KY last won or shared a title, was it not?

To be honest, you won't find many, if any, here that care enough about Missouri to have a real opinion either way.
The fact Kansas fans hate you is enough for us to like you.

Jeremiah Tilmon is considering MethZoo as well. Porter is recruiting Trae Young, who never signed his LOI from OU. The Tigers may reach double-digit WINS next season.
The internet vibe is he's a heavy Duke lean. If UK isn't going to get him, I'd rather him go to Mizzou.
It's an interesting choice for a kid like Knox. It's not about Cuonzo it's about Porter and the situation. They would give Mizzou 2 elite players, they could make them a prominent team in the SEC. Playing with the best player in the country, not having to share the ball with 5 elite players like he would at UK, turning around a struggling program--all of those things can be appealing.
Jaylen Brown picked 3rd in past draft. Mathews left to Zags and is playing for them in NC. Rabb top 15 in draft. We can say a lot about Counzo, he can recruit. Love the addition to the league. We get quality teams that are competitive only benefits the SEC as a whole. Would like them to play together if not here. No UnC!!!
NCSU or VT should have beent the east school. Both fit culturally and have more to offer with TV markets and tradition.

I don't expect MU to land Knox, but I wouldn't be surprised if we pull in a few other nice recruits. Knox could be the cherry on top of a potentially brilliant class
Didn't Missouri and all their lousy talent almost beat UK this year? You guys talk like it was a 30 point blowout. IIRC it was a 5 point game with 4 minutes to play and Mizzou lead periodically throughout the first and second half.
If they could pull off Young, Porter, Knox, and Tilmon plus maybe a SG like MJ Walker and that's a Mizzou version of the Fab Five. That would likely be ranked as a top 5 class.
