Probably due to Cal being overconfident that either Dickinson would come here or Tshiebwe would return. Just my guess. I wanted to go after the Ware kid. He was a better fit than Dickinson anyway.

While he wasn’t someone I was familiar with before this, a quick search on IG shows him following Brady Welsh(strength coach), Cason Wallace, and Jacob Toppin while also being followed by Rob Dillingham. Those lead me to believe this probably has some legs but will be interesting to follow.
But can they pay back any “expenses” that they received while playing overseas?
And there is the hiccup of NIL for non-citizens.
BUT- I will say this. The staff leaked this to Tucker and company for a reason- this is either a very, very legit option that is farther along than we know (otherwise they wouldn't have leaked it), OR, they are actually in on somebody else and they are using this "leak" to pressure them to make a decision.
It's absolutely one of those two things, I just can't tell which one yet.

Ivisic added to the perimeter players we have now could be a perfect match.
Wagner, Dillingham, Edwards, and Sheppard can put major pressure on the ball to cause turnovers and not have to worry about giving up the easy layup.
Mitchell, Ivisic, Bradshaw, and Onyenso at the 4 and 5. That’s a very good rotation.

So, this guy provides the potential shot-blocking ability of Ugonna at 7'3 but can also stretch the floor. Sounds like a perfect addition at the 5!

But if he comes here and plays this now becomes my favorite roster we've had in a looooong time. So much length, versatility, playmaking and shooting. So much experience too. Reeves and Mitchell have played a lot of college ball, Adou and Ugonna have some experience, and this kid Ivisic is almost 20 and has been going against grown men for the past year. Not to mention guys like DJ who played the highest level of HS competition possible and got NBA level coaching.

We got Jamal Murray in July and hardly any of you knew who he was.
He was a 5 star recruit we pursued all spring. We all knew who he was. And he committed in June not august or July. Completely different situation Murray was.
Man, if this happens, what a complete turnaround in your roster from 6 weeks ago or so! A lot for you to be excited about. A homegrown Ky boy to cheer for, elite freshmen, some returning experience. Get the two bigs healthy and this is a scary roster.

I think the roster is done. I was hoping for a good biog from the portal, and there were rumors, but nothing happened. I am hearing that Bidunga is likely committing to us, but not reclassifying, so rolling as is I guess.
