This is such a garbage take that I don't even know where to begin to start.
They quit on established veterans !
Kessler was the epitome of a veteran core guy how did he drop to 3rd in the rotation. It’s not even like he was a Cinderella story made the most of his chance. He was a key player for years here then all of a sudden quit on.
Mingione will be taking credit for that Vanderbilt victory for the rest of his career. Kessler and Plastiak two guys he treated like nobodies won him that game.
Marsh commits. Had a lot of offers. Came down to Auburn and OSU. Both full scholarships from what I heard.
He had a lot of programs put out feelers to him last year. Would’ve done great in the portal last year also. Let MIngione talk him out of transfering. Lots of promises from Mingione that was all fluff like everything else with Mingione.
Heard he did the same with Hill. He was transferring but he talked him out of it.
Well boys and girls, we're back to Monday. UK, as we're aware, is unlikely to make a change, but if they are going to do it then they will probably have to do it by end of day on 6.30. So, just 2 days from now. On a similar time frame, there are also just 2 more days to enter the transfer portal. I think we'll see some early fireworks with that soon, but cannot say for sure.
I also have not seen anyone mention who our new assistant might be or who the candidates are. Not sure how that search is going.

Does anyone by chance know who is going to run the camps? I know Guilliams has done it in the past. Just curious who will do that now.
Speaking of assistants, how hard will it be to find a volunteer assistant to be the hitting coach? And who is going to want to come here knowing there’s a good chance that this may be Mingiones last year?

I think the camps are over, aren't they? I think they kept Guilliams on staff until the camps were finished and he ran them and after they were done he was officially announced for Utah. Going forward, it will again be whoever the volunteer assistant is. That is how they get paid and support themselves and their families.
I would think it would be very difficult. Especially to replace the quality of Guilliams.
Camps are still going on. They were camping last week and some more in July.

Heard up to 5 more are going to enter the portal but the day is ending and July 1 is around the corner… but Kendall Rogers tweeted that the baseball portal date may be extended…. And no, I am not going to name the five from the source I have because 2/5 are on the fence and the others are being hounded by this POS staff
Sounds about right. I've heard something similar. Likewise just going to let it play out and see.
Sad to say, but all of these guys are leaving / thinking of leaving because of this coaching staff and nothing has been done
FWIW saw that Syracuse is investigating their women's basketball coach...have had 20+ players leave the program in the last few years. Just thought I'd mention that.
Mitch ain't making that change. I'd be shocked. Happy, but shocked. Hopefully whatever Mingione needs to fix will be. I don't know why you'd wait this long to do so, but if he's gonna be our guy then I want him to succeed. Just don't see it happening next season.

Looking at the history of the UKbaseball Twitter account, they don't really ever hint on transfers or commitments. So this is something they've not really done before as far as I can tell.
So, makes me think maybe it's about the new coach or just hinting that they know who is staying?

Yep. That's what I'm thinking. They've not done something like this in the past for transfers or new players committing. So, thinking it's more likely to be a new coach.
I don't know how many good coaches there are available out there, but I think Andy Cannizaro has probably learned. I think Mitch ought to get over the fact that Mississippi State fired him because he had an affair with a member of the MSU football staff 3+ years ago and give him another chance. He obviously is a better coach than Mingione.
Although I agree with you, Barnhartt will never hire Cannizaro.
I'm leaning towards no, but there were at least a couple that were on the fence that may have been talked off of it.
Are we sure “talked” is the correct word? Heard it’s been more harassing, begging, pleading and a lot of promising.
I wouldn't doubt it but I can't say for sure. I have heard some things that are a bit unsettling but not from a direct source or exactly what was said
Don't want to go into much of it but an example I was given was that more than one player at the same position was told they were the number one there.
That being said... that is kind of through the grapevine talk and we know how the game of telephone works. So maybe they were told they would have a chance to compete for number 1 and through the grapevine that evolved to, 'they were all told they were number 1.' I don't know, but, if true, it's super messed up that they're being misled or outright lied to.
