I live here, it's really annoying. Still, that is the value of having a good coach and becoming competitive... you draw more and more fans.
It’s as if this program is here to serve Mingione and no one else. Why is this program all about Him ?
it’s like he takes away from this program more than anyone else but he gives so little.
He runs off his coaching staff and his players at an unprecedented rate. And the ones he dosnt run off he mis leads And mis manages ( Kessler , Shelby B3N Cam etc etc ).
if you have to run off that many people then the problem is YOU not them.
thanks Mitch for making this program all about Mingione: his bafoonery, gimmick can only fool people for so long. There’s enough people now that know it’s all an act. I’m not gonna allow myself to be insulted by you thinking if someone throws the Lords name on the surface of something that I’m going to give them a free pass on the task that they are being paid for while being a total Ahole bullying young men that he has leverage over.
I ask you all again. What would Kesslers outlook be entering the transfer portal this summer of Rubalca hadn’t been injured ?
Compare that with where Kessler stands today.
The entire fall everytime anything to do with the team came up Kessler was never mentioned or spoken of by the program. Rubalca was though often. Put yourself in Kesslers shoes and imagine your career slipping away at the last moment for some bafoons whims to try and keep his job and get extension.
the greed and hypocrisy of that guy is out of control.

If so Mingione was clearly very wrong. Take a look at what Kessler did for him. He won him the only game he will ever win at Vandy In his career.

When Mingione brags about beating Vandy he will know in the back of his mind he owes that victory to a player that he buried and was about to completely ruin be it not for a drastic circumstance that had nothing to do with his own self.
he did not deserve that fortume.
Oh and Plastiak helped win that game also

So is Mingione going to pay for Cottongames education so he graduates ?
he made such a “ sincere “ fuss to Eddie Brooks about how Incredible it was to Him that Brooksie hadn’t graduated ( with dramatic background music and recreation of the moment Mingione found out Brooks never graduated).
it was so geniuine and sincere and NM made it clear that it was unacceptable that ( or was it him ? I don’t know he said both “I got you” and “ we’ve got you” referring to who would paying for Brooks to graduate) He never graduated.
Cottongame played for Nick. Is Nick as concerned About Cotttongame as he was for Brooks that he graduate. Even at his own or the schools expense.
I mean we need to know is this important to Nick or was that just another “ genuine and sincere “ story for the media to try and show everyone how great of a Christian Nick is on the BBN tonight show ?

Didn't listen but my guess is they're basing their opinion on UK performing somewhat better than predicted. Of course, when expectations are already low finishing above .500 and making the SEC tourney looks like improvement.

2020 team was far worse than this years team and the SEC was far better. 2020 they got swept at home vs UNC Wilm lmao. Swept on the road at TCU. Both were ass whoopings.
go ahead and give him a pass on that one even though 2020 would’ve been an epic ass whooping in conferance. Oh and he would’ve entered 2021 without all the returners that he did. Then again what good did that gift that do. He left Kessler on the side of the road like a Christmas tree on Jan 1st. He didn’t even make the make the right choices when he landed in a pumpkin patch.
so give him another year to add to his crappy legacy. Failing even worse is what he deserves I just feel bad for all the players and fans that have to wait this out while this program has become all about 1 guy. He makes everything about himself and Mb and people like KSR enable him.
Mingione dosnt even give a player a year to prove himself in many cases and he tosses them out like yesterday’s newspaper yet he vigorously believes he deserves all of this time.
the time and considerations he never gives to any of the players.
It’s all about him enjoy the show.

not even Pitino drew this kind of attention to himself and he had the resume to permit that.

I think you’re 100% correct. Preseason expectations were poor at best, yet they started out ok. If they bomb next year it could get messy really quickly.
They said the extension was a mistake but he should come back next year. They also talked about the crowds at other SEC schools and we need that here.
My personal opinion is baseball is a bigger sport in the SEC than basketball. Basketball in the SEC is only big when they play KY. Kentucky is really out of place in the SEC as far as priorities.
The cognitive dissonance to say that he should be back and that we also need crowds like other SEC schools is so braindead I can't even take it. People will come when you put a winning product on the field, this coach is not winning.... so why should he come back?
Expect Schultz, Anu and Rhodes to test the draft. If they are drafted or get some money they may be gone as well. We could be outfield-less. Lol

I assumed Schultz and Rhodes were gone all along. Both play every day at UK so if they do return they know they have a spot.

I’ve said this for years. Basketball in the SEC, outside of Uk, I would venture to say is 4th or 5th in the order to all other schools. Obviously, football is first. Baseball IMO is second. And there is a strong case to be made that softball is third. Then basketball. Too bad the only thing most people give a damn about around here is basketball. I truly hate the sport.
The crowd size for baseball tells you everything you need to know. Same with basketball. I like UK basketball but outside of that I couldn’t care less about the sport either.
Don't necessarily agree with the misplaced priorities...you can be good at both. I think if UK were to become competitive in baseball tickets would be hard to come by.

I don't disagree with you, but I do think it is a little harsh to look at an article about the best home run hitter in the country coming to play baseball for UK and then take away that UL also got a kid from the same school.
Jim Schlossnagle has been named head coach at Texas A&M. As a TCU fan, I hate it.
Louisville is also starting to get most of the tops kids in eastern Kentucky. A place where there’s few, if any, UofL fans.
TN fans all exhale. Great hire for TAMU. TCU will probably be fine in the long run. They know how to keep that program going.
Would you really want to play for UK right now? The coach is gone after next year and the administration has shown very little support for the program. Whereas UL is all in on baseball. Believe me, that really pains me to say that.
Yea, he has been at TCU since 2004. Has been to the CWS 5 times, including 4 times in a row from 2014-2017.
Didn’t know his name but was aware of the success of the TCU program. A&M definitely all in.
