Kentucky at Vandy (Friday)

Luke Heyer goes Oppo taco for a single to right! Becker stopped at third.

Lefty King to face Squires. Anything to the right side cuts into this lead.

King looks like he is throwing gas, but gun says 91.

Squires bloops one into center for out one and UK doesn't test the arm. Ugh.

Squires pops up to shallow center, not deep enough for Becker to tag from third. Combs at the plate. UK at least needs a sac fly here.

Wild pitch and Becker gets thrown out at home. A weird slide. No idea why he didn't go feet first.

Middle of 3rd: Vandy 3, Kentucky 1. Cats put runners at first and third with no outs and cannot score. F-8, K, CS 2-1 on wild pitch.

This team's ineptitude right now (and awful luck) is unreal. Becker doubles to lead off, and advances to third on a single to right by Heyer. Squires pops up to shallow center, not deep enough for Becker to tag. Combs strikes out in an uncompetitive at bat. With Aklinski at the plate the ball gets well past the catcher but Becker gets a late jump and gets nailed at the plate.

I was actually proud of Fanning for playing things safe and not getting Becker nailed on Heyer's single Squires' pop out. Then that happens on one that didn't look like it should have been close.

Combs looked completely overwhelmed.

On the positive side, Ramsey has settled in and pitched pretty well since the first.

King probably going to walk through us after getting out of the jam last inning.

Morale is hanging by a thread right now. They have so many guys hurt right now, so many close plays going against them, so many borderline ball/strikes not helping. It seems like it has snowballed.
