Heyer also goes to 3-1. He and Cottam just a bit victimized by the outside corner. It's full on him. That corner again, this time on a fastball. Borderline pitch, but I think it was there. Slider on the outside and Heyer runs out of bat and strikes out. He and Cottam failed to get ahold of the same pitches.

We are down but we really need to take advantage of the 40 pitches thrown in the first. Its there for his to score a lot in this game.

When we get prime chances like they had in the first, UK's hitters have to start taking advantage and driving them in. Don't understand why Combs was batting in front of Aklinski or Dawson.

Ramsey made some mistakes but he battled back. 3-1 going to the second.

Pompey is a terrible outfielder... really no ability to read the ball off the bat. That home run was playable but going to be a very very hard play. He just looked silly trying to time it up.

Headrick says Hazelwood is okay. I personally doubt that he'll pitch tonight though.

This pitcher is getting a pretty good outside corner on right handed hitters. Without that he wouldn't have the strikeouts.

I might take out every righty possible and put in a lefty. He can't find much of a strike zone against them. He does get Pompey to roll over and bounce one to second.

He's basically getting just enough of the outside corner on right handed batters that they have to protect and in doing so they are striking out.
