Butthurt we pasted his Dookies and butthurt Murray is a better shooter than he ever was and Ulis is a better PG than he ever was.

Jay Williams is a Dookie and is a UK hater and Cal hater. Most of the ESPN staff are Kentucky Haters and it drives me crazy to even watch them during a UK win or defeat, especially a defeat! He would say that about TA&M if Kentucky would finish 7-0 in the remaining SEC League games and goes 3-0 and wins the SEC Tournament and finishes 28-6 overalll including SECT and 18-3 in SEC. Jay Williams will not say one good word about UK or Coach Calipari.
I don't know what Jay Williams you all are watching but he doesn't hate Cal or UK. He just said last night that he loves when UK plays like this against Georgia and Florida. Yes he picked A&M but that doesn't mean he hates UK or Cal. I happen to like him. Seth Greenburg is starting to wear me out listening to him.......

We've had a couple bad losses, but sorry: you lose four games in a row and you aren't the best team.

Last week on Mike and Mike he was asked about the Duke season and what he thought. Talked about last years team and how they lost a lot, then talked about how next year Duke has the '#1 class of incoming freshman' and how they'll be the favorite to win it all along with Kentucky. Then back to Dukes #1 class... #1 class. Dukes #1 class. Duke #1. Theyre #1. Believe it.

I actually like J Will more than a lot of the espn guys. Like pretty much every talking head sometimes i think hes over the top. But if any of us got paid to talk about our opinions regularly im sure people would say the same about us.
I just wish some of our fans would take off the blue goggles. UK is on an uptick but picking A&M isn't insane. Look at the conference, heck take a look at the NCAA as a whole. It's anybody's game this year in the SEC. A&M has taken some lumps but who hasn't in this conference. Just because someone picks someone else isn't a slight at UK. You could say that last year but not this year.

The "by far" comment is what makes it a dumb statement. You could make an argument that Kentucky, A&M, LSU or even South Carolina would be the best SEC team but there's no way you can say any of them are "by far" the best.
You said it fivestar. By far? No way! Now, I probably would have agreed they were the best a few weeks back. LSU was coming on, though, so I don't think I'd have said "by far" even then. But now, I don't think anyone could name ANY team from the SEC and say they're the best "by far." It's just a dumb statement. I know he's likely just trying to stir the pot, but to make the statement plausible there has to be some kind of evidence to support such a statement. And it's not like we're talking about ONE team challenging them for the right to be called the best. We're talking about at least 3 other teams, LSU, UK, and SC who all have a better conference record. The "by far" comment is just flat out wrong.
Now, I'm a UK fan and I think UK may be the best in the conference, and UK is actually tied for first place today, and even I'm not dumb enough to say UK is BY FAR the best team in the conference. Truth is, the SEC is probably as good, top to bottom, as its been in a LONG time. The good teams in the league could beat anyone in the country on a neutral court. Now, it's clear that this season is not a normal college bball season, so it's not saying as much as it normally would be. But still, the SEC has been down, but this group is pretty good.
But 4 sec losses in a row says you're not the best team in sec right now. Blue goggles or not, that's just not simply true.
I don't think Williams is too bad actually, but I strongly disagree with his assessment, and especially him saying "by far". No one has been the best in the SEC "by far" this season. The Cats are the only team with the potential to do that, and I think we will.
Do you have a source for this? I never knew he was a UK lean, though I didn't follow recruiting as closely back then. Thanks.
I heard right out of his mouth . His dad asked Tubby what his teams graduation rate was and Tubby had no idea , told him he'd have to get back to him with the answer . When Jay's father hung up the phone he looked at Jay and said " you're not going there " .
