Do you only surround yourself with like minded people? Get out of your comfort zone sometime, there's a big world out there.
After the excuses from your fan base about putting fans and players in danger, iu is dead to me. We have people from other places all the time. Just not the dredges of society.

I never hear this about Vanderbilt after they rushed court. Never heard it about UCLA after they rushed the court in 2015. Don't hear it about Auburn after last year.

Rushing the court and rushing the court and being disgusting while chanting taunts , and harassing our fans and players is a bit different .

IU needs us more than we need them.

Those schools didn't threaten the fans and they didn't swarm a player that was sitting on the court (Darius Miller). More excuses and defection from an iusedtobe fan. No suprised here.

Oh quit. No one threatened anyone. If so it was an isolated incident. This whole ordeal was sensationalized on here and the board ran with it. Yet when Kentucky fans cause something, IE harassing and threatening a referee almost forcing him to close his business, its other fans that did it acting like UK fans. I was at the game, where you?

Not an isolated incident. Beating UK that day was the best thing to happen to IU and their fans in who knows how long . I mean paintings were even created. Was there a ring too? lol

Look, I know it's hard being an IU fan. Irrelevancy for the last couple of decades etc , but no reason to embellish and... constantly be on our board lol

You got Archie Miller now tho !

Then care to show other incidents? I won't lie it was a big day for a program that fell on hard times trying to replace a legend with several bad hires. I'll guess I'll have to end the talk here as it seemes to have turned to childish flames, I know having a rational level headed conversation with IU fans is frowned upon here.

I disagree. I think Briscoe will land somewhere. His baility to get to the rim at an elite level, his toughness and his rebounding will get him on a roster somehwere. As for his shot----It's not bad. His mechanics aren't awful. I've seen a lot fo guys enter the league who couldn't shoot, but once under the guidance of NBA led coaches/instructors, tht changed. I like Briscoe a lot. Hope like hell he makes it.
Just do not see it, alot of players with less to fix than Briscoe are playing in Europe not in the NBA.

Thats fair enough. But why chastise IU fans over feeling he IS a fantastic coach? He wins(70%). Comes from a basketball family. Is highly thought of among his peers. His name constantly has came up for P5 jobs. Took Dayton to an Elite 8. They've been a mainstay in the NCAA's since his arrival. Has won two conference titles in a very competitive conference. And he's only 38.

Now with that being said, he could be a bust. The pressure(see BCG) may be to much. Who knows. My only concern is can he recruit well enough. We'll find out soon enough.
So, is that why you two are over here right now? You need us to validate your coaches abilities?
But you're stunned that I state that he actually has very few accomplishments and am taking a wait and see approach?
I'm happy for you guys that you are excited about your new coach. Congrats.

Thanks for confirming everything I said.

IUfanfromBorden,

Was Winchester the best player you've seen in HS or what?

I still can't get over watching him DOMINATE everyone in our region like he was freaking LeBron James.

I always thought that he could have made it at a bigger school and played well, but I understand why big schools wouldn't want to take a chance on a kid from such a small school.

Still, he ended up at WKU and did pretty decent, right?

I didn't follow him much after he graduated. Seems like he averaged damn near 50 ppg his SR year. Hell of a HS player...

Well, he'll's bells!

I was right. Anthony Winchester ended up at WKU and won the Sun Belt POY as a SR after averaging 18.6 ppg.

I knew he was a special player. Especially to have come from a tiny farmtown with less than what? 2,000 people? 300 kids in his HS?

5 ppg as a FR, 14 as a SO, 18 as a JR & SR at WKU. I'm sure a school like Purdue or even IU regretted not giving him a chance. Probably the best player to come out of this Southern IN area in the last 20 years.Plus, he did it all from a 1A school! (That my HS team had to play every year :( ) He won't hold that title much longer with Romeo Langford leaving New Albany soon.
