EXACTLY!!!

AT UK we have to have a coach that DEMANDS discipline and attention to detail!!! This is Coach Stoops 12th FREAKIN season and we STILL don't have that on a consistent basis!!! We have the talent necessary to beat the middle and lower tier teams at this point BUT it doesn't matter if we are CONSTANTLY making STUPID mistakes against those teams causing us to lose!!!!

But the sad part about where we are right now is no matter how BAD Coach Stoops screws up, UK is BOUND to him just like we were with Cal because Mitch has given him a RIDICULOUS contract that will cost us a TON of money to get rid of him!!!! So unless he gets another job or gets tired of the criticism, we are STUCK with him for at least 4 more seasons.

SAD

Time for all of us impatient, 12 year “microwave” fans to do our thing again.

I think most casual fans thinks stoops sucks. The hardcore fans are more forgiving but most of them have turned now. People want a winner today. Not what you did 4 or 5 years ago.
What do you mean by a “winner”? I guarantee you most people were generally content before this year. I don’t think you have an understanding of the expectations of the majority of the fan base.

This is from someone who agrees we peaked a while ago and has a hard time getting excited about just making a bowl game at this point. Most people are happy just making a bowl most years.

Obviously what we think doesn’t matter. If Stoops wants to be here next year, he’s gonna be here. They aren’t firing him.

I can respect what Stoops has done in previous seasons ending decades long streaks and the heights the Kentucky Football program reached during his tenure. All good things come to an end. Even if it wasn't that long ago Kentucky had a 10 win season, this is a different era of football with NIL and the additions of Texas & Oklahoma making the SEC even tougher. Stoops' comments at SEC media days about NIL and the pony up dig allude to him not wanting to be a part of the sport for the long haul with the current landscape and looking for greener pastures. Seasons like this are not going to all of a sudden land him a better job. People will revolt just like A&M did.

Stoops is better off at Youngstown State where NIL isn't as crucial as it is to being competitive in the SEC or become a coordinator again like Chip Kelly. Kentucky right now is not getting $9 million worth out of their investment in CMS. Paying top 10 money while in the basement of the SEC. Full circle back to the beginning of the tenure not making bowl games. Kentucky can never stoop so low again to accept 6-7 seasons as the standard, but unfortunately Mitch has done that when every 7-win season adds a year to his contract.
