We saw the small version of Kentucky today with Onyenso and Bradshaw out of the game. Very interesting contrast in styles and personnel with the Germans having the size and Kentucky having the quickness and guard play.

DJ Wagner was very impressive. All downhill all the time and very confident. Antonio Reeves was just as aggressive and his confidence was off the charts compared to what we saw at times when he was finding his way last year. Reed Sheppard helped to turn the tide once. Thiero looks like he's taken a step forward. Mitchell's shooting was key as well. Wagner isn't the best passer among UK's recent lead guards but the defense has to react so quickly to how he explodes to the rim it creates a lot of opportunity for other players.

We didn't see much from Justin Edwards but probably too early to press the panic button there.

Clearly a different kind of Kentucky team and one that was either shooting from outside or getting to the rim (at will). It's been a fairly long time since we've seen a Kentucky team with the ability to attack the rim the way we saw from this team today.

Lots of points off turnovers gave Kentucky a big edge. Also, Kentucky didn't give up many second chance points which speaks a lot to effort with two two main big guys out.

Don't really know what to make of Dillingham as (I'm not saying this as a criticism really) it looks like he's playing AAU basketball with all the dribbling and trying to break down everybody. Does seem a little interesting that Sheppard played about as much as Dillingham.
