Wade Taylor's absence was obviously a big fact looming over this game but you knew a Buzz Williams squad would come in ready to play. They're going to get downhill and attack, they're going to body you up, mix up the defenses, and keep you off balance, making a test of your toughness as well.

UK was cold from outside to start the game after being so hot last game out. But they were getting good looks. They weren't falling. Kentucky finally started to take control of the game with the last play of the half and then with some makes early in the second.

They relied on Jaxson Robinson pretty heavily for offense tonight. He had a green light early and eventually they started to fall. Fortunately for Kentucky, they started to hit shots around the same time A&M started to cool down and the Cats' defense settled in a little more.

Eventually it looked like the floodgates would open with Oweh runouts, Amari Williams put backs and boards, and better effort matching A&M's hustle and physicality than we saw at times in the first.

One thing about this team is we have seen they have been able to change course midstream. If they start cold it doesn't mean they're finishing cold. If they start slow it doesn't mean they're finishing slow. They are a mature squad.

This team can win high scoring games but they have proven they can win other ways at times too. Another top 15 win.
