I'd like to ask for prayers again.

Tomorrow starts the most painful part of my recovery. I will have what I pray is my final surgery.

Tomorrow they are doing skin grafts. They take the grafts from my thighs. The pain is already so bad I'm barely tolerating it. Since 60% or so of my back is 3rd degree, its gonna take a lot of grafts even though they don't fully cover the wound.

The grafts need to take and then grow. Any prayers or well wishes will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thank you everyone for the prayers and well wishes. It's been a long and very painful day. The wonderful nurses got the pain down to a manageable level very quickly.

My burn wasn't ready for the skin grafts yet so I got new cadaver skin. Ill be doing this again in a week or 2. I hope I can tolerate another surgery.

Well, this seems like groundhog day. Once again the cadaver grafts didn't stabilize so instead of a final surgery Wednesday I have yet another scrub the wound with a brillo pad and put fresh cadaver skin. Then I wait a week.

I have at least 2 more weeks in the burn center. It sure is demoralizing and tiresome. Having the support from so many of you folks is a blessing. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes, they do help.

Praying for comfort, relief from pain and definitely patience. I can’t imagine the pain and frustration you must be feeling. Keep your head up and know better days are ahead of you. Stay strong brother and keep up updated.

Father we lift up our friend: we ask that you help to tolerate and reduce the pain. We ask that the grafts take and grow quickly and we ask for your help with to guide the medical staff to make all the best decisions and keep away any infections. Finally we ask to have our friend be lifted up to you for peace and healing. Amen.
