I hate losing by trying not to lose

Good things happened nearly every single time we brought pressure today. Stoops is a big pussy though and is scared of giving up a big play so he’d rather rush 3 and make sure we give up 20 yards instead of getting burnt deep.
Sad thing is Clemson had zero deep threats. The announcers said that about 50 times today. Just a terrible inexcusable loss.

Stoops isn’t alone in using this strategy at the end of games, but that’s not an excuse because it’s an archaic strategy that needs to be phased out by anyone still relying on it. It probably worked decades ago when completing a long pass was a herculean effort, but modern passing games are just too efficient. Even average QBs like we faced today will find the gaps in a soft zone if you give them practically unlimited time to throw.
