15 million? He's not a pro athlete either. lmao12.5 million per year seems a little low to try get a New England man to leave a New England School after winning back to back titles. I feel like it should be 15 million per year with a 5 million bonus per Final Four. I would assume UConn will be able to offer some what close to 10 million like in the 7.5-10 million range so 12.5 isn't going to seem that big of a difference if they can offer 10 million.
Making more than any coach across any college sport….WOW JUST WOWAccording to Pilgrim and others is 8 years 100 million.
Zero chance the rumor is true alsoZero chance he turns that down!
I read that UConn is operating in a deficit already.12.5 million per year seems a little low to try get a New England man to leave a New England School after winning back to back titles. $12.5 is insane. Plus it's the starting point. We would likely go higher.12.5 million per year seems a little low to try get a New England man to leave a New England School after winning back to back titles. Did this convo happen at thanksgiving dinner and are any horse farms involved? My brother in law told the wife just now Hurley will be KY’s Coach. Not sure how he knows this but they are friends. Just passing along my 2 cents

Gotcha. Seems like pretty solid information then. Thanks.Brother in law and Hurley
Unless he don't work out, then it will be, why did that stupid sob give him that contract, now we can't get rid of himBig nuts Mitch
I would cheer for them at 10% of thatThat is crazy money. I would coach UL or Duke for that amount. lol

Wow let’s hope this holds true…. Thank you so much for the information!!!!Brother in law and Hurley
Of course this is real, but there’s no escaping the fact that pastor Scott left Mitch tucked in bed all alone last night and left him at the midnight hour.I didn't believe pretty much anything about the Drew rumors. I am choosing to believe this.
I was just about to type this and they don't have football. The Big East is dying as a conference so they don't have that TV money either.I read that UConn is operating in a deficit already.
$12.5mil, as it is, would break the college basketball market... Again, as it is.12.5 million per year seems a little low to try get a New England man to leave a New England School after winning back to back titles. Also what's the point of offering the super long deals? The coach can apparently leave whenever they want to but if they have bad performance we can't fire them. Might as well do 3-5 year contracts so the coach stays hungry to do well for the next contract.
Whoa, that offer actually seems extreme when you put in context. That is more money than either Nick Saban or Kirby Smart made last year. And of course you know football is in a different stratosphere when it comes to revenue generation. Plus, Kirby and Nick are more accomplished at this stage than Hurley is.12.5 million per year seems a little low to try get a New England man to leave a New England School after winning back to back titles. High T offer? Did Mitch get TRT??I’ll be honest. I can respect this offer. If he turns that down that’s not on Mitch.
First positive thing I’ve heard since this whole fiasco started.
Let’s hope it’s true
