How many UK championship games have you watched live?

1975 and forward every title game. I was at the 1997 and 2014 title games, which leads me to believe I shouldn't attend another one. [laughing]

Opposite for me, we've never lost a championship game I've attended, conversely we've never won a final four game I've attended! (Went to F4 in 11 and 15!)

2012 and 2014. I want to add 2018 to the list since San Antonio is the host city. Would be great to see the Cats in Texas for 2018.

From 1966, all of them on TV except 1975 and 1978 which I saw in person. The 1996 and 1998 games I watched at Kevin Grevey's sports bar in Virginia with about 200 UK fans. Others I watched at home.

1996 was the most special one for me. After the probation, Laettner in 92, losing to the Fab Five in 93 and UNC in 95, I wasn't sure if I'd ever get to see a national title. 92-95 had some real gut punches.

My dad's told me a couple times about shipping off to Vietnam the week of the 1966 game and thinking about the loss on the flight over. That makes the early 90s seem not so bad.

I remember watching the last few minutes of the 96 game with tears in my eyes. I was born in 1979, so I didn't get to see the '78 bunch. The 98 game was pretty awesome because those kids just would not go away. 2012 was my least favorite of the wins, because I was so nervous the wheels were going to come off of it and lose to Kansas.

4. Favorite was 1996.

I thought you meant our wins. If you mean regardless of outcome, it's either 6 or 7. Can't remember if I watched in 1975.

I thought you meant live as in at the event . If it is just a tv thing my first championship game watched was 1978 . How many posters here have been to the LIVE event ?

Championship games - 96-98, 12, 14. Favorite was 96-98. 2012 is close though. Fandom really began with the 1992 season, cried after the Duke game, lol. Add in the 92-93 season with Mashburn and I was hooked for life.
I have been alive for all but 2. I died in 75 and 97.

75, 78, 96, 97, 98, 12, 14. Tough to pick a favorite between 78 and 98. 78 was my first and the "Goose was Golden. 98 was unexpected and I loved the "Comeback Cats". Both teams were coached by coaches (Joe B and Tubby) that had big shoes to fill in Rupp and Pitino. You never forget your first: 78.
