I've been witness to it all of this season and even last as our offense wasn't much better last season.

Iowa wins with their defense mostly (in the form of turnovers), followed by their special teams play.

2 of their last 4 straight wins they've had less than 200 yards total offense.

Never saw this coming. 4 weeks ago we were 3-4 and had just lost to Ohio State 54-10. Now 7-4 with a chance to get to our 3rd B1G West title game since 2015.

It’s amazing how close to KY that Iowa really is. They’re basically carbon copies looking at each other in more ways than one. You can definitely believe that CMS is an Iowa product and nothing can convince me that we aren’t modeled after Iowa.

Mark has indeed modeled things after Iowa; meaning Stoops has to build from the ground up like Ferentz had to do starting 24 years ago. They share a Defense first mentality; and don't mind winning ugly.

The only big difference philosophically between the two is Iowa has a designated Special Teams coach and it's meant MANY wins for Iowa in the past 5 years because we sure don't win with our offense. I know Stoops doesn't have one at Kentucky. Hoping he speaks soon to Ferentz about the value of having one.

I hope Mark comes around on this. Wisconsin lost two weeks ago to Iowa in part because of the difference in Special Teams. Wisconsin's Coach Leonhard was asked about it after the game and he admitted the Badgers have no Special Teams coach either but said they would definitely be looking to changing that before next season.
