Lest you all forget Viagra started out as a blood pressure pill until a bunch of old men, maybe it was the wives, started to complain about having a raging boner for hours. Maybe that would explain why I found a bottle of it in my grandfather’s work bench at the shop when I cleaned it out after he passed. It would also explain why he apparently kept getting the prescription refilled. He was 93.

OTHO, a “friend” of mine said that when you are really drunk on brown water and are with the side piece that a Viagra comes in really handy. He also said that whether you need it or not it is fun every now and then just for the hell of it. But he is an idiot so take it with a grade of slaw.

Long time Lurker
so far back to where shenanigans were abound

BBdk always posted recs on places to eat

Coffee is essential for me, you should try Honey or Cinnamon in it for a change

Tupelo Honey is the best !

We probably have a hundred of those old Bunn machines sitting in our parts warehouse, and threw away/sold to scrap another couple hundo the last 2 yrs. They are beasts but require manual effort and cleaning.

All the ones we place these days in offices are mostly bean to cup with the grinder built in, all computerized. Still use the larger Bunn's at some colleges, restaurants, and C-Stores.

Ok, that’s enough.
Some of you never lived in the Keys and openly talk about ANYTHING with ANYONE at ANYTIME including boners, coffee and whores and it shows….

Always funny catching the side glances while having brunch at First Watch and a soccer mom is HORRIFIED at our convo topic, sorry toots, we’re not talking about Biden, my kids’ basketball practice, the weather or how much a pain getting snacks together for the PTA meeting on Tuesday.

-Speaking of “apres ski”, why do we call it that? After skiing isn’t but 3 more letters and it’s in English…

So who are your upsets? I hate the over production of shows picking the bracket apart as they all seem to land on the same upsets and F4’s.

This year is Samford. Yea sure.

I got 12 seed James Madison and 11 seed Oregon in the S16.

I feel like UConn/FAU could be the upset we all hope for with FAU’s whole team from last year returned. Should be fun.

I’ll also be cheering heavily for WKU to knock off Marquette.

I've been taking the GNC pre-workout and it makes me feel like I can run through a brick wall (and to a lesser extent, like my aorta is going to explode). What did Jack3D do? Can I get that in Mexico?

There have been a number of articles about how women's college basketball is now somehow bigger than the men's game. Ridiculous. From what I can tell, here's the breakdown of this year's followers of women's college basketball.
  • 20% are traditional women's college basketball fans (as in, they were fans of women's basketball for years)
  • 10% are men's college basketball fans who are flipping through the channels and will check out a few minutes of Caitlin Clark
  • 2% are media members who think they are being edgy by saying they care about the women's game more than the men's (looking at you, Bill Simmons).
  • 68% are people who didn't like sports at all, but now that it's "the current thing" they're on board (and will be out for good in a few weeks).
Re: that last one, take one of my in-laws. Gal showed up at my house and started talking about Caitlin Clark. "Did you see her shots?" "What do you think of her record?" "She's so humble." "What a great role model for your kids". "Do you think women's basketball is more exciting than the men's game this year?"

Lady - you had not watched a minute of college basketball - men or women's - in 20 years. Shut the f up about Caitlin Clark.

As an aside, she asked my daughter and a few of her friends from her softball team what they thought of Caitlin Clark. The look of disappointment on her face was classic when, one-by-one, each said they didn't know or "really don't follow basketball."

- I'm honestly not sure how Bennett and UVA recover from that game last night. He already had a "brand" of having an offensively-challenged system, and then it was on full display for the entire country last night. Getting mocked on social media, being mocked by the actual broadcast, and basically exposing yourself as a team that shouldn't have been included....what a nightmare.

- Ever since the First Four was introduced, I've believed that it should be for at-large bubble teams only, so that low- and mid-major champs can play in the actual dance. I still lean that way, but someone on Twitter brought up a decent argument for a low-major WANTING to play in the First Four. Not only is it much greater exposure, being the only game on at the time, but it also means you get to play a team of comparable talent, and therefore a greater chance of winning a game (which benefits your program AND your league). And it's true. Other than UMBC and Fairleigh Dickinson, nobody usually pays much attention to 16 seeds beyond the midway point of the second half. But tonight is a two-hour commercial for both Grambling and Montana State that every other comparable program would kill to have.

- Really hard not to root for Dan Monson this week.

- The Mountain West has had some really good basketball for the past 2-3 years. The problem is that the best teams have often dropped headscratchers that put them on the wrong side of the bubble, whereas this year they took care of the also-rans in league play. Colorado State was mis-seeded, and I have New Mexico over Baylor in the 2nd round.

- Happy Westwood One Week, everyone.

I admittedly have no idea how ratings are calculated, but I bet 75% of the women's basketball "clicks" on TV are due to the channel guide just saying College Basketball - Florida vs Kentucky and not mentioning that it's women's.

We have a BUNN coffee maker from the late 80's/early 90's in the office and I have fervently denied all requests from staff to "upgrade."
When I sold off the contracting company, I kept the vintage Bunn-O-Matic I acquired and restored for the office. I don't even have anywhere to put it right now, but I'll never get rid of that machine. Can't wait to get it hooked back up someday.

As for local roasters, there are a lot around these days. I like Old School myself.

I'll take them if you want to toss them.

Wodie has either:

Found religion

OR

Found a girlfriend/side piece (that he's actually interested in)

MIA for damn near a year now.

Precisely what I told myself as I foolishly advanced a bunch of SEC squads anyway.

I don't trust the ACC a bit this year, either. A lot of trash this season.
Same. I have three SEC teams in the Elite 8 (and I think 6 in the S16). I put both Mississippi St over UNC and Texas A&M over Houston (along with Florida over Marquette). Think I also have Auburn beating UConn.

I actually think Florida might make the deepest tourney run.

UCL's post above is another example of why he'll be on the GYERO Rushmore.

He's this thread's version of a mid-century Borscht-belt/Catskills jewish comedian.

I remember when he played Kellerman's every Summer.
