GYERO

-I think Davis is really close because, like GF and 73 said, he could take over games. Obviously so can WCS, none have been on the stage that AD did. Also, we are comparing Junior vs Frosh.

WCS being able to lock down 5 positions is the big thing for me. I think it supersedes AD's freakish shot blocking. Having your stopper be a 7 foot antelope is pretty unique.

Noels steals were always amazing to me. He could poke a ball out with the best of them. Always kind of bothered me b/c I knew that'd lead to a couple really untimely fouls along the way.

-The tonic at 21c should be used as currency.

They make 2 different types of pizzas there, neapolitan and roman (super thin crust) styles.

We sat at the pizza bar, the big wood fired oven kept us warm.

We went with a neapolitan style with red sauce, sausage, caramelized onion, mushroom, goat cheese and mozzarella.

Wodie, you would like the place. Great custom cocktails, too.

Sounds awesome. Give the Roman a try next time. We were lucky to snag a seat at the recently-opened 'Marta' in NYC last month (in the middle of the afternoon, otherwise it's next to impossible currently).

It's Roman Style, so thin & crackery you could almost see through it...but was unreal. Of course, I could eat 4 entire pizzas that style by myself, but was perfect for an afternoon beer & snack amidst all the walking.

Spent the day in Louisville yesterday with the wife. 25 years since our first date in Louisville.

-- The Blaze Pizza in St. Matthews is basically a Chipotle/Q'doba/Moe's-style pizza joint. Liked it, & I'm sure Lexington gets one or three in the near future.

-- Boat & RV Show at the Fair & Expo Center. Was hoping the dozens of Snapchats I kept sending DrX would annoy him, but he probably enjoyed them.

As cool as some of those boats were, I don't think I could ever do it. Pretty much would have to live on the lake and those kinds of things. Now an RV, absolutely.

-- Momma's for dinner. Marginal to decent barbecue. The wings were

. Some of the best I've ever had.

-Blaze is really good.

-Robert Allenby...lol. $3400 strip club tab trying to get some "action", completely smashed, fell down/passed out face-first into a rock while waiting for a cab.

Now THAT sounds much more believable.

Least shocking development ever?

Apparently, I am hosting a Super Bowl party for my in-laws. My wife just told me.

10 Adults, 8 kids and possibly 2 college frosh if hey come home this weekend.

3 adults are gluten free and 1 is doing the Adkins.

Should be fun to cook for.

No Virginia, you aren't a Wildcat.

UofL football in the lead for a player that pointed a gun at his girlfriend, and punched her in the head. Second chances, people!!!

Gluten free chili is pretty easy.

What an idiot. Not surprising though. He basically ran into a group of new friends that wanted to hit a strip club. We've all done that a time or two. Jesus, getting the copes involved an lying was a dumb thing to do.

He did have his CC's stolen and 20k ran up though, correct? I thought I read that,

We just had chili for a 16th bday party last night with the same group. Or else, that is what I would've made.

Probably going to make a taco bar with both ground beef and pork tenderloin/green salsa options. Lettuce wraps as an option in addition to taco shells.

And I am making a variety of sliders. Some of which will be on gluten free bread.

Yes I did enjoy them.

Allenby is also the same douchebag that called out Anthony Kim for stumbling into his hotel late at the Presidents Cup.

The controversy began after Kim, 24, beat Allenby of the International team as part of the U.S. team's 19½-14½ win to retain the cup. After the match, Allenby said he'd heard Kim arrived back at the hotel "sideways."

"Maybe we should all take the theory of Anthony Kim," Allenby said, according to Golf Week. "Get home at 4 o'clock [in the morning] and then go shoot 6 under."

"Absolutely false," Kim said, according to Golf World. "I was at the hotel, had dinner with the team, met my buddies for about 20 minutes, then went straight to my room. I was in tip-top shape. If Robert had that to say, he maybe needs to practice a little more."

Taco bar is a good call. Couple of places also do gluten free pizza delivered, Donato's and Domino's.

Ha, don't remember that.

Miss me some Anthony Kim. What a mysterious/weird case that guy is...

Not sure if I ever linked the big SI/GolfMag article about him from last year & the 20M+ (apparently) insurance policy that may be keeping him from returning, but here it is.

We've become pros at the "gluten free" stuff after our neighbor's daughter's bout with UC. Make your own taco seasoning (it's easy and tastes better).

I'll email you some other stuff.

Taco Seasoning

Hit up Hammerhead's on Friday. Lamb ribs, smoked cheddar grit cake, pulled pork sambo, fried Mac n Cheese balls, Grippo fries and Duck Fat fries amongst a few of us. Whatever ganja those cooks are smoking to make such good food is working.

Dream about some of their items. Also like the dungeon like atmosphere as well. Adds to the experience.

Conner Frankamp arrested on suspicion of DUI (.186, twice legal limit)...not a good start in Wichita.

Bet The Phog is *loving* this.

Neither do most people. But whatever you need to do to justify self-importance and being overly selective in food preference --> knock yourself out, America.

Hit a similar place to A Tavola in Hyde Park Saturday night. It's called M and it's next door to Haps. If you don't feel like dealing with OTR, it's a good spot and cool atmosphere.

I'm OK w/ the shitty basement but LSAT is not a fan of the ambience and I get hung up on getting to go there as much as I would like for that very reason.

Whatever.

I hit up the A Tavola in Madeira.

I haven't been to Haps in years. Is it still the same?
It hasn't changed a bit. You also have Keystone and Dutch's near by for drinks. Dutch's is a great wine bar. Women love it.

I've tried a few gluten free beers and the only one that is halfway decent is.

I'm sure there are better ones but I kind of gave up trying.

I have a sister-in-law with celiac's, another one with a million food allergies including glutens and her husband eats gluten free just to make it easier on her.

Definitely a local favorite, although I didn't enjoy the lamb ribs on my lone visit. Way too fruity/tart w/ whatever blueberry BBQ glaze they were using.

Mac N Cheese balls tho.

-Still want to try Game...that's a better space, right? We've been by twice, both early-evening on a Fri/Sat, and the place was a complete zoo -- couldn't even get in the door to check a wait time

* Nobody had ever even heard of celiacs until about an hour and a half ago, and now these people are everywhere. Sort of like ADD.

* Really? Is NOBODY going to call out the hypocrisy of the NFL for allowing Michael Freaking Irvin to be the centerpiece of the Pro Bowl?? That guy is one of the all-time biggest dirtballs in sports history -- and the Shield has redesigned their all star game to make him the centerpiece. Wow.

Say what you want, but you moved away and quit going to Mt. Adams pretty much when Gusto closed.

-So, does nobody go to Pavilion/Longworth's anymore, or is that just the 'younger' crowd, kinda like how BTown Rd is here these days?

-AliveOne was fine...but it was just a simple small room? Never understood why you loved that bar so much, or what stood out so much about it for you? Was basically a dark Rosebud w/ a pool table.

Glad you brought it up!

More discussion about the National Football League and all their effing media coverage/drama is *definitely* needed. Almost forgot Super Bowl is a week away! Hooray!

I personally LOVE gluten, gmo's, wheaty, non-organic, fat laced, sugar filled, carb loaded, cholesterol packed and dairy filled foods. LOVE THEM. If I didn't put on 2 pounds by watching a Taco Bell commercial I'd eat that stuff every meal.

- People still go there, I assume. But they're club type places so I haven't been to either in years. Mt. Adams isn't necessarily "young" but it's just slow. OTR has taken over the Mt. Adams type crowd.

- AliveOne- great lighting, great atmosphere, great jukebox, good scene, loved the tables set up along the windows, loved the dungeon. Just liked everything about it.

-Could use some puppies scent down here, 72/sunny
cool0016.r191677.gif
sitting by the pool typing this.

-No booze in almost a month now, have a feeling that'll change when I meet some buds in Gainesville for the UF game. Seriously dreading it.

-Flipped the Pro Bowl on for two seconds and thought I was watching the Under Armor AA game, no thanks. Just drop that game, NO ONE watches it.

-Crushed some GAMBOL yesterday while rooting for UL and Duke, hate that but thanks losers.

-Laid hardwood throughout the living room and the first bedroom this weekend and it looks ridiculous, not to mention the value it's added. GF definitely appreciated it...
evilgrin0010.r191677.gif

I went there with you I'd guess 15 times, and we never went to the dungeon for more than 2 seconds.

-Richie -- what's the story with your boy Dingle? Does he go to every UK away game, or what? He's up there in Bean territory.
