Offensively, this team has a margin for error unlike anything I can remember. 5 players averaging double digits for the season, multiple deadeye shooters with others trending that way, and several guys with the capability to score 20+ on any given night.

If they can just find some semblance of sustained defensive intensity like they've shown in spurts...shewww.

The inevitable will happen guys, so don't forget where you were just a month ago...wins over the Hogs and a 3 win SEC team and you are giddy....oh how thee have fallen.

So here ya go...TFP. And just remember that tough love is often needed. This hurts me more than it will hurt you.

You know you've got a keeper of a wife when you own the crypt directly above Marilyn's and your wife fulfills your last wishes and has you placed in your coffin face down to look at her for eternity.

And Hef paid $75K to buy the one next to her, too.

Outside of 2014 I don’t really remember the last game of the season being against a likely 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. What a great opportunity to gauge where we are and really get prepared for the tournament. Nothing to lose in the game really, a ton to gain. Great setup for us IMO

The UT game will indeed be great prep. They are essentially our kryptonite in terms of what our weaknesses are as a team. It will be a hostile crowd but maybe not as much as it would be if UT hadn't already clinched. Still . . . let's see what we got.

Take your heart pills, wildcat friends. The bi-polar Cats are careening through March like the Himalaya Ride at your county fair. WHO WANTS TO GO FASTER?????

got to disagree on the nothing to lose idea of this UT game.

We need it bad for SEC Tournament purposes.

Also it makes us a 3 seed in the NCAA I think.

It would be a phenomenal win and be great for seeding. The season is not over, our seed won’t be ruined, and our confidence won’t be crushed if we lose to a top 5 team on the road. To me that’s a best case “no lose” situation for UK bball

There have been several games over the years that get the blood pumping.

One of the best and most overlooked was an early season game against UCLA in 1994. We were #3 and UCLA was #5.

Straight up war!

The pinnacle of college basketball - to me - was the mid-90's. And don't remember anything bigger than those UK-Arkansas battles. I lived in North Carolina, and they'd often cover a local ACC game instead of the Arkansas game on those Saturdays. My dad and I would head to this sports bar called Scoreboard which had stadium seats and a little speaker on the table where you could pick your game. The one I remember most - and was pissed off for a long time - was that 1995 game we lost 94-92. Just great basketball though.

Can’t remember what it was called, but what is now Malone’s/Drake’s in Hamburg had that same concept (I think Bruce and Brian may have even owned it, before their BHG days).

Stadium setup and several large projection screens throughout, and you could tune your table speaker to whichever one you wanted. Remember thinking how amazing and revolutionary that seemed at the time.

Edit: Just hit me. Damon’s.

Double Dogs has that setup now. It’s a great spot to watch an afternoon of games.

North Carolina Local CBS in the 90's: "Oh, you want to watch #9 Arkansas host #5 UK announced by Packer and Nance? How about regional coverage of NC State vs Clemson on Raycom."

If my memory is right they beat us.

We lost by 1, but it didn’t feel like a loss as much as it felt like we were slighted as the game was played in CA and the refs were influenced. I’m currently watching it.

Regular season? I think 95 was the year we clipped them down 9 with 1:30 left in regulation.

One of my all time surreal comebacks ever. It’s still an amazing 1:30 of game as I can ever remember.

That 95 game was in the SEC Tourny. Rhodes missed 2 FT’s at the end of regulation that would have won it. He sat all of the OT with a towel over his head. He also played hero ball in the Elite 8 that year, trying to match Stackhouse and never played another game here after that.

I’ll never forget the look Rhodes had on his face sitting on the bench in OT. And btw, what about Big Dick Epps knocking down two free throws to win the game at the end of OT?

Arguably the worst-coached Pitino game I ever saw.
