Duke-U of L

I like the new Card coach myself. He has his kids competing and was dealt a bad hand with injuries. Seems like a good, Albeit, quirky guy.

I hope they become relevant like they should be. Makes more fun for the rivalry.
I believe Kelsey will have success at Louisville. It’s good for us and our rivalry when the Cardinals are good.

He is their version of sahvir wheeler. He is a pest defensively, but he gambles a lot for steals and turns it over a lot
Hepburn is 3 times better than Wheeler from the couple games I’ve watched. He’s pretty crafty on his drives and can hit the three. Don’t know what he did against Duke, but he carried UL last game I watched.

Duke is not 2012 UK lol. Anthony mother f**king Davis won calipari a title. After everything we know of his career , John Vincent Calipari couldnt use his powers to screw it all up and wash hopes and dreams away thats how powerful Anthony Davis was. It would be like if Cooper Flagg won a title for J. Scheyer, it would take Flagg being transcendent to the level he can overcome sad coaching.

I can't say I like him, of course, but I agree with your assessment. He's clearly a pretty good coach based on how his players play the game. They will be coming to Rupp working their butts off in that game, hoping to bring home the upset. They played with Duke for much of that game before losing it in about the last 8 minutes or so. Seemed like they hit a wall. Their depth is clearly an issue at this point, but they gave it their all. They'll give UK their max effort the entire game. UK is thinner than earlier in the season right now. I hope we have Butler back by then. If so, we should win by at least double digits in Rupp. If not, we'll need some guys to step up to get any kind of comfortable win.

Every time duke wins, it helps us. Louisville is going to continue fading all year long. Ole Miss smoked them in the dumb center and duke is going to do the same and we should want that.

But as far as Louisville goes, hating them is weird to me. They aren't good enough to hate. It's why we don't hate Cincinnati, or Xsvier, they're not good.

I understand Louisville fans hating us and acting like idiots, we win snd they can't stand it. I'd just rather not punch down.

I think Louisvilles record is a bit deceiving in that they’ve played a pretty brutal schedule so far to mixed results. They’ve played several ranked teams. IU was ranked when they destroyed them. We should win, but they aren’t somebody we should overlook. Like us, they’re a completely rebuilt roster, though I’d take ours over theirs all day everyday.

We have to find our rhythm from behind the arc against UL. They cannot guard us for 40 minutes and we will get all the open looks we can handle. Just have to defend the perimeter and make 35% of our 3s or better and we beat them by double digits.

Exactly and Cooper Flagg isn't anywhere close to being on the same planet as Anthony Davis... You're exactly correct in your assessment too if it wasn't for the "once in a lifetime player" Calipari wouldn't even have a darn Championship! Whoever said that about Duke needs to put that crack pipe down!

UL has a decent chance to make the tourney cause the ACC is terrible this year. Take a look at their remaining schedule after they play us.

It's their mouthy fans who make liking them hard.
And we give them exactly what they want. We punch diwn and give them the attention that they're looking for. We help them stay relevant.

They're a commuter school that is extremely dirty and isn't good enough to be considered our rival.

Apparently folks on the Board and in the UK Athletic Director’s office disagree with this assessment, because they keep putting UofL on the schedule (and put Indiana back on the schedule despite CBP’s protests) 🤷🏻‍♂️

I grew up around Louisville. I get why Southern KY guys hate UT more and get why some people hate duke or unc more. But having to deal with ul fans on a daily basis while Pitino was there moved them to unmovable #1 spot for me. I'll never not hate ul now.
And likewise I get why Louisville UK fans (my best friend from college was one) hate UL more. The only time in my 55 years I’ve been around UL fans was my 4 years at WKU (many from Louisville go there).
For me, I spent my first 18 years 5 miles from TN, and my last 28 years in NC almost all of them 20min from Duke and UNC. But even if I had lived elsewhere, Duke, UNC and KU are our “national prominence rivals”. UL is an inferior step down program with fans who have an inferiority complex. But most of their fans live within an hour of the school (maybe 30min). Ironically I met 2 UL fans at the grocery this weekend, which doubled how many I’ve met the past 34 years. But even here in NC I probably meet a new UK fan at least once a month the past 28 years.

We are up on them 37-17 and have owned them all but 2 games in what, 10+ years?

When I look at Louisville, they are the definition of 'Little Brother'. It's punching down.

I'm actually sorry to hear they lost their center, I only saw him play once this year and he seemed like a blue haired bill Walton little bit crazy, would have been fun to watch.
