I actually don't need lesbians or regular couples kissing in a show. If I need that, I will hit up some porn.

My basic problem is that it didn't bring anything needed to the show. An hour of Brokeback Zombie Apocalypse. Why? What did it bring to the show? I would be saying the same if it was lesbians, or a regular guy/girl couple.

And the believability of it? Doomsday prepper Bill captures one guy, and twenty minutes after he's about to shoot him he has dinner with him and decides he's going to fall in love and get naked and try gay sex for the first time in his entire life. Yea right. That is so believable and so Hollywood/HBO.

Trying to appease the SJW's such as yourself. Absolutely no need for it.
Lol, I’m def no SJW. I’m just not aome pansy ass bitch like either one of the sides that either shove it down people’s throats or lose their collective minds it’s there at all. So both sides should just stfu about it.

I lived in Tennessee at the time and remembered it being a snow day as well.

Same here - and they were little bursts of awesome
Normally marked with sledding, snowball combat and semi-ethical use of fireworks

"Last of Us" - a rare video game that I actually enjoyed watching my daughter play
Very excited to see that it's now a movie/series

But - if I'm being honest (and I've never lied to this site) --- I'm MORE EXCITED to go see COCAINE BEAR in theaters ASAP

(initially. thought that was an expose an on old friend from Middlesboro but - nah)

COCAINE BEAR MA;FUGGAHS!!!

Ha. We were having up to that point anyway.

I want to say that 1978-1979's childhood memories featured some powerful TV images too:

1) Iranian hostages being paraded with blindfolds (I thought it was a costume party for 5 months)

2) Soviet invasion of Afghanistan (ironically -- we were playing Risk and my dad provided the geography lesson)_

3) Promotion of Pink Floyd's movie "The Wall" -- -featured kids with featureless masks walking into a meat grinder and coming out as tasty sausage (I prayed for them that night)

4) Biggest flood ever seen in East TN -- FKKING LOVED IT!! WE USED A BASS BOAT IN THE BACK YARD!!!

5) The overhead shots of the mass suicided corpses in Guanaystown where the Jim Jones cult all drank poisoned flavor aide and died.........many were lying there with their arms still around each other so naturally I thought it was a college prank**

** understood that it wasn't 'funny --- BUT years later I DID create custom stickers for my Les Paul that feature Reverend Jim Jones and the words "Trust Me"

Hey Rudd -- am I lying?
Those are pretty cool right?

Kentucky Theater is going to have the actual taxidermied Cocaine Bear in house for the local premier.

Remember what a beautiful day 9/11 was, not a cloud in the sky. Perfect day for fishing with your buddies, at least in my hometown.

Not sure what your angle is here Vern other than you might believe that everybody has a bad day into the lead up of a national tragedy.

For the record, I'd just flown back to NYC on Sunday 9/9 after being in my hometown visiting. And it was a beautiful, cloudless morning.

Re: KSR/changing a tire. I find it hard to believe that there are men driving around that can't change a tire. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd be shocked if I am.
My old man wouldn’t let me get my license until I had learned to change my own tire and that has come in might handy over the years. Especially that time in BFE Mississippi on the way home from the beach. Would have been stranded no telling how long waiting on AAA, if they would have even come to where I was which was “iffy” at best.

I even had a job interview once where the guy asked me if I knew how to change a tire and if so to go step by step in how to do it.

I change the oil in my vehicles.

that's actually a good interview question.. You find out if they're inclined to lie, and if they do know, it demonstrates attention to detail. etc.

Hardest part about changing the tire on a Dodge Ram was realizing the extension bar isn’t just to help the jack raise the truck, but it’s also used to lower the spare tire from up under the truck.

That was a pain in the ass on a job site.

It’s so simple and practical how you change a tire, I can’t fathom people saying I “can’t” change a tire, at least say I don’t know how.

But then again, I have a good buddy that grew up in Lex doesn’t know how to setup up a tent, camp, cool by fire or ever held a gun…

Just for the record, I am not saying that changing your own oil makes you a manly man etc. I certatinly get that a lot of people don't want to mess with it. I actually enjoy doing it, and it does save a decent amount of money.

Yeah $50 is with coupon and not going premium. Could cost up to $80. Bottom line is you are saving a nice bit of coin.

What does an oil change cost at a Valvoline etc. these days?

It takes about 20 minutes and 18 to 20 dollars to do it yourself.
For sure but unless you’re cool with dumping oil back into the ground you still have to drive to a place and pay to have them dispose of it. So what’s the net gain there? I’d rather just pay at that point.

And as worthless as I think recycling and clean energy is at this point with china and India destroying any good we do, I’m still not okay with dumping straight oil into the ground.

There is something we can agree on. LOL

I’m not sure the savings are really enough to make it worth while to change your own oil these days. Most cars don’t require it to be changed as often with newer engines and better oil. By the time you buy the stuff and taking into consideration the time it takes you may be saving 100.00 or so over the course of a year. When you can get it done in 20 minutes or so and be in your way, which seems to be the play.

That said, I get the allure of doing a job yourself instead of paying someone else to do it.

Correct, every 10,000-12,000 miles is prob enough on newer cars.

Agreed. When I decided to paint my house instead of paying someone it took me two weekends and I saved $2000 which turned into a brand new washer and dryer.

That’s saving, $100 a year to have to do all that and still drive somewhere is not worth it for me but as you said I get why people like doing stuff like that just like I enjoy home Reno projects.

* I get free oil changes for the life of my 4Runner. I used to change the oil in my cars, but I sure as hell don't now.

* I can't imagine anything more perfect than watching Cocaine Bear with Wyvern, 80 and the actual stuffed bear.

Well, I can think of a few things, but it would still be awesome.

* Worked until midnight last night. Looking at longer than that tonight. Thank God Marge is understanding. I am gonna take a break and watch the game on my computer.

* Have no idea what to expect tonight. I just know I'm staying away from DraftKings. Nothing would surprise me.

It'd be nice to get Fredrick going. I think we need to break up his engagement. Might have to call in Bonzo to send CJ's fiancé some nudes.

* It shocks me how many basic UK historical facts Buzz and Mills don't know or get wrong. Things that all of us know.

* Oh well. Go Big Blue!

Ole Miss starting PG and leading scorer out also, but fully expect 1-2 scrubs to play the games of their lives tonight.
