In addition to unbelievable talent, I love the make-up of this class. You've got three guards who can each shoot, handle, create, and defend; a rugged combo forward; and a center who runs like a deer, blocks shots, and ohbytheway can also shoot. Also Onyenso should really be considered part of that class, too.

This virtually guarantees that Cal can't go too big all the time.

Anth, come meet me at the boat ramp at 5am for the 5 mile run up the river in my boat to catch sauger before the river gets too high. Nothing like a brisk ride in 30 degree weather to wake you up. Then you’re exposed to a 10-15 mph wind to keep you nice and cool for the next 4-6 hours trying to limit out. The icicles on the rod tips make neat prisms when the sun hits them just right. Just don’t bring any puss bois since were hooked up to the high wall about 150’ from the dam and the logs jumping out of the gates are a little unsettling for most people.
I'll fish in any weather. This was from my annual smallmouth trip to Dale Hollow last January. High of 18 degrees that day, we were out before sunrise to hit the morning bite. Went about 12 miles up the lake, 55mph in 10 degree weather isn't for pussbois.

80 Proof, if you don’t already have one invest in a sav-face mask. Let’s you actually see what’s in front of you instead of watering eyes that freeze up.
I’d definitely be fishing Dale Hollow in those conditions and not be worried about the cold. I’ve bank fished stripper pits in those temps with snowflake’s the size of quarters making visibility tough. Have to shake the rod a lot since the line freezes up often but the fishing is great and you definitely don’t catch any small fish. If the lakes not frozen over I’m fishing. Have to admit I have thrown a lure thinking it wasn’t only to hear the thud when it hits the ice you didn’t see under the inch of sun melted water. 🤦🏻‍♂️
Lacrosse 1600 muck boots will keep your feet nice and comfy. Goretex waterproof gloves are a must for your hands. Too bad they don’t make de-icer for boats because my boat looks like the pic after fishing in sub freezing temperatures. Nothing like setting a hook hoping you don’t slip and fall in because of the ice.

Anth..Next October when I make my annual fishing trip to Cumberland I’ll make certain I consult with you on where a fishing novice should drop a couple of hundo on expensive fishing gear. Thanks in advance.
Do you not have a pair of duck boots? They seem like they'd be right up your alley.

My favorite run group is one that's been meeting in the exact same spot, day, and time for decades. 5:20am Saturday morning. They've never missed a single week, and they start exactly on time no matter what. A couple of weeks ago, as a few of us were running over a bridge and watching the sun rise in the distance, one of my buds made the comment that he felt bad for people who aren't runners, thus not having the chance to wake up early and enjoy the beauty of the sun coming up over the horizon in the distance.

Maybe a little exaggeration, but whether it's golfing, fishing, hunting, running, gardening, or whatever your chosen hobby, waking up super early and enjoying your craft well before, and as the sun is coming up, is quite a gift.

I'm generally fine with freezing but the only times I can recall being too cold to function were early morning trips in and out of duck blind. Cozying up between a couple boykins was all i could do.

Was actually about to write a check for a boykin puppy last week but ultimately decided a puppy and an infant was just not a great idea- maybe next fall.

Gave away about 10 bottles of bourbon yesterday that were wasting away in the cabinet. Kept some bottles for people to pour from when they are at the house- but it's just rare that I partake anymore.

So does Milt go into work tomorrow?

Yellowstone is fine. The Crown is fine. Probably not going to mess with another season of White Lotus.

Booker's kid running 4.5 minute miles is wild considering how slow i've bet Booker runs.

This Magoffin Co bus news :(

So just 7 college students were homicide victims overnight (Those are just the ones nationally reported on). Ho hum.

Mark is just brain fogged from his RED WAVE high, cut him some slack

I appreciate that as humans we’re all different, but waking up before sunrise to exercise outside legitimately sounds like my personal hell. My absolute dream in life is to wake up every day without an alarm clock - which seems to be about 7:30ish nowadays.
Although the morning coffee on a weekend morning has turned into my favorite time of the week.

Went to the WVU-Oklahoma game this weekend, made it to halftime in the freezing rain. At least they won! Morgantown is such a weird shithole town, randomly built on the slope of a mountain. I can’t imagine there’s a place like it.

Cal needs to ride off into the sunset on a high note, let’s do this.

I'll tolerate a lot of bullshit in this thread but a post that seems genuine and motivating from PTI is pissing me off.

I need to get up tomorrow and put some miles on my new shoes, I suppose.

That t-shirt is amazing.
I dig it too but that t shirt has been around in different variations for like 5+ years. Still cool though.

I wake up at 3.30-4:20 every day without an alarm. Body clock. Just wake up, shoot up some test 3x/week, let the dog out and start getting ready. I didn’t try to make that happen just did. I haven’t used an alarm in 5-7 years. Just old I guess.

I'm a night owl, always have been. Ron and I have the same ideal wake up time. For those of you who are able to get up at 5:30 or 6, what time do you go to bed? I usually shoot for 11:30 but, as my grandma told me long ago "The difference between 10:30 and 2AM is shorter than you think.

I’m usually in bed around 10ish, read my kindle for a bit and my alarm is set for 5:10 on workout days (~3 weekdays). It’s hard to get started but now it’s my routine and a really great start to the day.
