I know we lost the game in 2004 vs. Ohio, but let's talk about the absolute FIRE uniforms (worn by Burton in the picture below). I mean, those were effing fantastic!!!

The cheerleaders that day were absolute smoke with their retro uniforms and knee high white socks.

- Will never understand the loud Masshole pizza thing but we live in a Kardashian world so 🤷🏻‍♂️

- Man a big couple weeks for Kentucky, sports in general, and socializing.

- My daughter acts roughly the same as I do with UK games while watching Frozen (or Anna and Elsa as she calls it) - pacing, yelling at the TV, generally enthralled.

- I just don’t know what to believe on NIL. I understand the importance it’s taken on but it’s such a convenient boogie man.

- If I was Mitch, I’d be making a call to see if we can get our wins back from when we cheated and actually paid for our sins.

- The SEC is so damn hyper competitive. Every program is nuts. Every fanbase is nuts. There’s no rationality. Coaches have won the national championship and been fired two seasons later twice in the last 15 years. So, any slip has a chance to send you down a slope.

- “White Lotus” is so well-written, casted and shot.

My buddy's girlfriend bought him a legit dick-tongue Wildcat starter jacket off ebay. That's wife material.

* Comedy Off Broadway has Nick DiPaulo and Ms. Pat coming in January. Pauly Shore, too, if you are into that kind of thing. It is amazing the quality of comics that come here. I need to go more.

* Does it seem to anyone feel else like restaurant food has almost universally dropped a small notch in quality since the pandemic? I can't quite place it but my wife and I both think it is true. We may just be bougie crackers lost in the past.

* Been on a Patrick Bet David kick lately for my podcast listening. Dude tells a story about his family leaving Iran after the Ayatollah took over. When the Lufthansa flight hit international waters the pilot made an announcement that everyone could drop their hijabs and the stewardesses would be serving alcohol.

I imagine that my first legal beer at Commonwealth will feel like that, or Ellis Boyd Redding drinking some suds on a rooftop in the Maine summer sunshine.

* Old school stewardesses were outrageously hot. A young Hank Camacho dreamed of someday being a big time jetsetter of some repute and bedding a bevy of Delta Airlines smokeshows across this great nation. Then I grew up and they all looked like Debbie From Accounting in a blazer from Marshall's.

Alas.

-Bellarmine is a joy to watch, man. You just don't see that level of constant ball movement in today's game. Garrett Tipton could play for my team any day.

Such a shame they are still ineligible for the NCAAT, making the leap UP. What horseshit.

-Louisville has some talent there. Withers kinda took over late & was impressive, and Lands has 'the look' of a good one in time. They really looked poorly coached. I mean, they didn't even run a play to get a buzzer beater shot, just inbounded to 3/4 court and let it fly? Ok.

It's gonna be a long ass season for those guys, Bellarmine was truly the better team.

-Customer service is so generally bad, when I have a good experience it really resonates & I feel compelled to share.

StubHub has always been an overall fantastic service. Paper Tickets were supposed to arrive Monday, then Wednesday, for tonight's Bargatze show. Finally called this morning...and learned the seller never even shipped. Lolz, K.

10% refund, $20 Voucher, and upgraded to 10th Row Orchestra. Entire call took <6 minutes from dial to hang up, & had a live person in under 10 seconds - which is pretty incredible. Good job StubHub.

Comedy Show tonight
Rupp Arena/Ruby's tomorrow
Football Saturday

...Indy Tuesday for Champions Classic. Fun little stretch ahead.

Guess what I'm saying is ----------> November can get pumped, just brutal stuff. 🍻

*Pumped for tonight. Taking my son to Ruby's before we see the NB show.

*I know a couple medical sales professionals and neither are ugly. Can't speak to the other parts of their lives but both are single.

*I didn't watch the Louisville game. With the time change, that start time may has well been 3 in the morning. It was good to see the final. Little pep in the step walking the building floor this morning. Not a lot of chatter from the L's up, crew.

*Speaking of Bellarmine, looks like they are the current leaders in the college search. The boy took a visit on Tuesday and was very impressed. I've been told by a buddy if he goes there and plans to major in finance, he can get him in internship at his bank in a couple of years.

-Believe it was Ansari that said everything service related is like 20% shittier since rona. I agree.

-StubHub has always been fantastic. Refunded my SECT Tornado Game Tickets without me even asking. HAs kept me coming back for years.

-This is a rebuilding year for Bellarmine. They lost most of their studs from last season's run. They were projected mid pack of the ASUN. What a cool moment for that program though.

-UL is garbage. Hell, Zane Payne was in playing meaningful minutes. Going to be a long road for the Cards this season. Hopefully we beat them by 50+.

-43 and rain/snow mix all next week. Dark before 6p. I do fun shit all year, and most notably in months when the weather doesn't suck ass and the sun set early af. In fact, using sports to justify why a month's weather is bearable just supports my case even more.

Favorite Diss Tracks:

1. Hit em Up (obviously the GOAT)
2. Ether
3. Eminem
4. Dre Day / Real MFin G
5. No Vaseline

The GOAT diss track of all time is Still a B*tch in my Book -Lil' Troy. Still play it often when I need that extra motivation.

I listen to greatest diss songs of all time playlist at least twice a week in the gym. My list is less of my favorites and more of the correct order.

All Eminem, he disses everyone in every song. Can't really pick one as the 2nd greatest diss'er of all time.

* All those flights exiting the Middle East are still like that to this day. As soon as you hit 10k feet they all take off for the bathrooms. Its kind of surreal watching a bunch of women covered head to toe with a burqa come strolling back out in some tacky Louis Vuitton tight fitting outfit all blinged out. Dude's do it too.

* Even if UK fired Barnhart tomorrow and went all in on the NIL game we are never going to be in the economic stratosphere of an Ohio State, Georgia, Florida or Texas. Until there is an actual governing body that can reign in a system to keep it competitive we are going to be on the losing side of this stuff more often than not.

* Staff turnover was mentioned, but every offensive position coach has changed at least 2 times in the last three years. We had a drunk guy mishandling the WRs for a few years, 4 OL coaches, 3 RB coaches and 3 OCs. That is way more of a problem than Scangrello.

* From the first Bahamas game it was obvious that Wallace should be running the team. Its nice that he will have time to develop when Wheeler is back but its easy to get redass thinking about some late Tuesday night in February when #2 is clanking his 4th three off the backboard while Wallace is sitting on the bench. Its going to be hard for Cal to mess this one up (I'm sure he will still find a way)... this is the deepest, most complete team he's had since 2014. Obviously, not as talented but we have 10 or 11 guys that can step in on any given night and give good production.

Its just nice not having Keion Brooks out on the floor, honestly. I saw his stat line from the UW game the other night and while he put up numbers it was the same inefficient bullshit there too. Toppin will put up a similar crap FG% number and has similar shot selection, but he does everything else on the court about 50x better than Keion.
