Damn. Fred Hickman died. CNN Sports Tonight with him, Vince Cellini, Van Earl Wright, Hannah Storm, Nick Charles, Jerome Jurenovich, etc was a great era sports broadcasting that went toe to toe with ESPN for years.

Their presentations were worth watching regardless of the sport being covered. Unmatched style.

Team A once had the audacity to stand on the logo of Team B that was painted on the floor.

COMPLETELY unacceptable.

This sort of enshrined the Ls down phenomenon. Imagine going to midfield after giving up 517 rushing yards to an offense with no passing game and this is where your head is.

Glad he's on this little 4 game winning streak, which UofL fans feel awkward about.

-Shipping and inflation have killed restaurants overhead. That’s why food quality has gone down but prices go up. Saw a list of prices that have changed and one was a box of chicken tenders was $1 a year ago and now it’s like $2.50 or whatever. Either way that’s a LOT more for a restaurant to recover their expenses.

-Also, all the people stuck inside for a year+ yelling online at people they didn’t know, turned into them yelling at servers and bartenders like they were still online and anonymous when they were finally let out.

It was super infuriating and lead me to quit bartending before I snapped some old rich northeasters pencil-thin neck.

Literally had a dude talking down to me for a few minutes towards the end of my run, ignored it for a minute until I finally said, “alright pal, show some respect or gtfo.” He said “what’re you gonna do?” I replied that there was “no force field stopping by me from coming around the bar and choking him out.”

He says, “how bout I tell your boss that?” I said “touch off pal, how about I call her down here and tell her myself?”

He kind of stood aghast realizing I literally gave zero touches and kindly stfu and left. And yeah I did tell my boss as I knew he would call the front desk and talk to mgmt. p***y a** b**** hopefully he was a little kinder after that to “the help”.

That type of stuff happened for months until I finally said enough is enough.

Before that it was most always playful fun banter back and forth teasing and whatnot. Covid really changed the service industry in many aspects.

No one to hire in the workforce so the servers/bartenders finally had the upper hand. We knew the business wouldn’t fire us because they couldn’t replace us and if they did we could walk next door and get hired 20 minutes later.

@HUBER you guys going to have a recurring monthly donor sign up for the common man? I can see 1000's or more giving $1-$25+ per month to your NIL.

Driving home soaking wet and half frozen after that beat down of UL in 2019 while listening to Stoops’ postgame interview with Leach was the first time I noticed Stoops really let his nuts hang.

*He basically called the ACC trash compared to the SEC and said that if you don’t know the difference between the level of play in the 2 conferences you don’t understand college football .

* In a subtle way he called out Leach for asking a stupid question (which he does a lot of if we’re being honest).

* He then capped off the interview by saying he told Satterfield postgame at midfield that if he thinks the L’s down deal is offensive then there’s a lot worse things that are going to happen in the rivalry.

Quite a moment for Stoops, IMO, and a firm validation on where the UK vs UL series was headed.

More people should get choked out for their behavior imo.
It would honestly make people nicer and more polite, ts. People these days are like do some thing so I can press charges and sue you. Back in the 80s/90s when cameras weren’t everywhere someone acting up could get dealt with, learn a life lesson with no authority involved and everyone would go their separate ways.

🔥 🔥 Hot Take 🔥 🔥
Smart Phones are cool as hell but in total they’ve made society worse between cameras everywhere and nonstop social media.

I don't own a restaurant, but if I did, then 2 years ago I would have immediately scaled my bar list and menu way tf back to mostly feature the easiest to make, best, most profitable products I've got.

Cannot for the life of me understand how some of these smaller, local bars/restaurants still think it makes sense to have a menu that looks like the Cheesecake Factory.

I have no idea why the Cheesecake Factory has its ridiculous menu. I *loathe* that place and not just because a batshit crazy ex-employee loved it and I would buy her gift certificates there for Christmas and her birthday. It is bougie, mediocre, expensive, and trashy women are obsessed with it.

You are trying to hard if you can’t find something there you’ll eat and enjoy. Chicken Madeira is my go to, and my kids get whatever but usually what leads us to going is the Macraroni Ball app that really we all like.

There is a time and place for anything, and that place is the definition of GYERO’s “it’s fine” to me.

Stenberg's postgame was fantastic as well. I miss that ornery bastard... a very underrated dude in the Stoops era.

That was the worst weather I've ever endured for a football game btw. Cold as shit with driving rain. Was worth it.
I seriously questioned my sanity going to that game but watching Lynn do whatever he wanted against UofL was a Top 5 moment. Went to the Belk Bowl as well. What a 2 game stretch for that team. Just a tough/scrappy team that did not take ish off nobody (in Stoops words). Stenberg's penalties drove me crazy but man this current Oline could use a real dose of his toughness.

We don’t go to Dave and Busters either, yet, but we do head over to the Main Event for my 12 YO’s diaversary every year.

Cajun Alfredo is dope, actually!

Yes sir. When filling out your info, you are promoted for what sports are your favorites so we can invite people who donate to events that feature players from those teams, and the last page when putting in your payment info lets you choose, onetime, quarterly, and monthly donations.

We have several who are doing quarterly and monthly donations.

Is Jambalaya Wet or Dry? It has a texture that is similar to porridge. As a local New Orleanian, correctly cooked creole jambalaya is slightly pasty. It’s a little wet and thick but can easily turn dry after it’s done fully cooking. Jambalaya is not soupy or gooey. To prevent gooey jambalaya, it’s always recommended that you wash the starches out of the rice by rinsing it under cold water until the water runs clear. As the dish sits, the cooking liquid should nearly be all absorbed.

This is correct and my last conversation with you via text shows exactly this!
