I have contributed at times, but the football doom and gloom irritates the hell out of me. Like the ship is sinking because a 3* RB decommitted. It must be because Mitch hates NIL and won't sell beer and Stoops is going to Nebraska and Goodfellow was our only shot at beating Vandy. Back to the Joker days, I guess! I wish the OL and OC were better, but we're effing ranked. 6-3, should finish 8-4 and get a nice bowl. It's okay to be a little disappointed without bailing.

Cason Wallace just feels like the perfect guard for March. Strong, controlled, a pest on defense, excellent vision and decision making. He may even be Cal-proof. He'll probably excel when Cal inevitably takes the air out of the ball late in the season. Absolutely love having him, Frederick and Reeves all on the court at the same time.

Frederick is so much better than I anticipated. Plays fast, active. Helluva motor. Perfect form on the J. Can finish in traffic. His game feels timeless, like he could be inserted onto any UK team in my lifetime and fill exactly the same role. Ball player.

Reeves is just fun as hell. Gonna score in bunches. I guess I could see him having an off night and not knowing it, but there's so much upside. And it's all been upside so far (through 6ish games against weak competition).

I didn't expect to see Ugonna or Thiero on the court at all this season, but damn. I still don't expect many meaningful minutes, but they get in there and do so much well.

Scoring ~100 in a blowout without three potential starters. Deep and balanced. Seems like the roster has answers for any of the problems that have plagued teams in the past.

How the hell do you get your number off of the political texting list? I've been getting like 20 Vote-For-Me texts a day. STOP doesn't work, because they all come from different numbers.

I’ve been getting text from Democratic candidates trying to get Miriam to donate money constantly for a couple years now. I’ve tried texting stop, telling the people to take me off the list, cussing them, spamming the system with hundreds of responses, nothing works. I’ve rescinded that I might actually be Miriam, a liberal from New York.

-Weather is fantastic today. Sweats and a toboggan.

Speaking if toboggans did you all call them toboggans or beanies?

Seems everyone I grew up with called them toboggans but only those people do. Tell someone from Minnesota your putting a toboggan on your head and they’ll look at you like you have two heads.

-I can’t even stand emails much less multiple forms of hey I emailed you. I don’t know who invented emails but I don’t like him. Shoot me a text, much more efficient for this guy. And if we don’t have each other’s number don’t bother calling, I’m never answering a number I don’t know, no time for that because 98% are a waste of time.

-Rolling into work around noon today is a nice change, although doing it because I have to be there until 7:30 again with the girls from the Lexington Sporting Club negates it.

-Barely seen any of our bball due to other commitments but sounds like we’re just fine.

-i know its way too early...but that team was fun to watch. Cautiously optimistic. I'll leave it at that.

-recruits have flipped since the beginning of time. We thought we'd be better this year...didn't know they were gonna tell Will not to run the ball. Mitch is slow on the nil stuff.

^that said if an 7-8 win season has you down in the dumps...you're delusional. I've *loved* UK football for decades...if this is a down year I'll live with it. Much of the angst is due to ewe tee having a great year...it sucks but whatevs.

- Sock hats

- Livingston and Oyenso are the X-factors - guys who could really get a ton better between now and March.

- Yeah Toppin shot too many middies but loved his agression and confidence. Looked really good handling the ball in open court.

- “Small ball” is as much about maximizing the number of playmakers on the floor as it is shooting. We have a lot of guys who can make plays for themselves and others. Pretty polished team so early on.

I called it a hat. If it was cold enough to put one of those bad boys on, I didn't have to be more specific about what type of hat it was.

A toboggan is what weirdos called sleds.

Young Wildcat Willy loved snow days. I'd put on my hat & ride my sled all day long. I rarely heard the word "toboggan."

I used to rocket down the hills on my trusty Flexible Flyer. I thought that was the greatest, until a new neighbor introduced me to the giant tire intertube. Man, I was sure I was going to be an Olympic Bobsledder during the NBA offseason after my UK playing days were over.

You had to make sure the valve stem was pointed down, though. Those bad boys could inflict some damage when you crashed.

In Russell County we always called them toagies growing up and I have no idea where it came from because it’s apparently the only place in the world that calls them that.

Also it’s 70 degrees out, why are you wearing a toagie/toboggan/knit hat/sock cap?

~Maybe Elon Musk can design a fail proof state of the art voting system.

~If old dude passing out the ballots was somehow distracted, a David Blaine sleight of hand could have easily scarfed up a handful.

~Eye doc finally ditched masks. Thankfully, they are no longer worried if their patients have had 64 unnecessary boosters.

Happy voting...

....best

-58 here now and definitely colder than that walking the dog earlier, especially at my folks where it’s super hilly and you’re not usually in the direct sun, plus I like lifting in them. I brought my hat too which I’ve switched into for my work meeting.

-Didn’t request my Florida mail in ballot in time so no voting for this guy this year.

-You all can feel free to vote for my mom though for school board if you live in Scott County.

- Basketball:

I watched, but I didn’t get to really watch like I wanted. I did get the feel the guys were not being micromanaged and felt comfortable just playing. That’s big. I also like that we get the chance to see some things before Mich State next week, and I know that’s been mentioned here previously but that a huge plus to these games.

I did have a convo with the wife that didn’t go where I meant it to go…….

Me: I really feel this group has a shot to win it all.
Her: Really, wow, so when is the last time you felt like that?
Me: hmmmmm, I guess 2015 when we almost got divorced over the Wisconsin game!
Her: Oh shit!

Yikes!!!!

- Football:

My biggest fear this off season is that we are so hinged as a program on Stoops/Marrow being here. Let’s say he leaves…….it all burns down! No Levis, no CRod, Brown transfers, OL is meh and Robinson is gone too…..defense I don’t even want to think about.

The only reason I think he leaves is that I believe an NFL team comes calling. His style is just perfect for that level IMO and I can’t imagine not making the jump depending on who may call.

Hopefully he is as stubborn as Bob Stoops was about not coaching in the NFL.

- Anyone else have family already decorating for Xmas? “But at least 20 houses in the neighborhood have already started, and it takes weeks to get it all done right”.

BS

- Bourbon Society in Lake Forest tonight. I dread these types of events.

- No time to vote today, hopefully smart people are elected but I have my doubts.

- sock toboggan

- Agree on potential concerns at some point w/ Wheeler minutes vs Wallace minutes. Cal will play the more experienced guys for better or worse. Great to see that we have options and we don't feel one turned ankle away from catastrophe.

- I get why we encourage everyone to vote, but I wish we could somehow include the pre-requisite to at least try to inform yourself of who/what is really on the ballot. Go vote if you at least feel like you have a clue why you're for/against something or someone.

Just filled out a solid ballot of checks and balances. Feel good about it. This state's politics are completely out of line with reality.

Struggling with Louisville mayoral race. My heart wants to vote for Greenberg for old times' sake, but my head wants to avoid all Democrats until control of the party is wrested away from the left-wing nut jobs.

*Not voting for Greenberg because he reminds me of Spyros from Billions.
