TN can beat us 3 times next year if I end up cheering for him and my wildcats in a F4.

With Hyatt, Tillman (injured, but may be back for our game), and the USC Portal dude, our secondary will be tested😵…we need points and ball control to have a chance.

Going to Army/LMU football game up at West Point to see some fall colors and splendor and whatnot.

That said, my lobbying to Rhoback pres paid off. Got mines.

Looked at my TVG account, forgot I placed a triple while at Keeneland. Had no idea online horse gambling worked so I tested it. The bet hit… cool little $187 secret bonus.

Grandma at UofL hospital getting real medical attention, Rasputinesque battle.

I'll tell you what. This R-Scang fella really needs to figure some things out. He could coach here for another 2 decades and never again have this much talent. I mean, wtf?

- all-time leading rusher
- top-5/10 NFL pick QB
- at least 3 future NFL WRs
- deep TE group

I know we've had some injuries and setbacks, but our offense should never be a concern this year.

Also: he isn't taking nearly enough heat for his appearance. Sweat pants and a gas station hoodie/zip-up. He looks like a suburban dad who woke up hungover on a Sunday and had to run some errands.

-No doubt, Scangarello is on thin ass ice. Will Levis screaming at him to get a play, REPEADITLY, Saturday night was infuriating. I could be wrong but we seem extremely predictable. Run until we have to pass. TE's have gone silent. 1/2 way point I'm skeptical at best.

-That TD pass to Lewis was f*cking money. That was an NFL throw. Speaking of Lewis, he seems to be stepping in nicely for Robinson. Good for him.

-UT is going to be a problem unless we just catch them on a bad day. That offense is unreal. I can't recall a team that hits so many deep strikes. Remarkable, to be honest.

-What a fantastic Game though, I hate those bastards but the scene all day Saturday in Knoxville was silly. Geez. Game was just bonkers.

-James Pepper 1776 at $25 is overpriced. Talk about a shitty bourbon. Fayette County should really stay out of the Bourbon game.

-Geesefeeder's mom makes a graham cracker brittle that is f*cking crack. It's ridiculous. Had to basically give the rest away so I wouldn't eat two full bags.

-Not disappointed with a month of no home games. Sweet break until the big run.

-Have we tried using tired/hungry 7 year olds to negotiate with Russia? Feel like this could be a real game changer. They're just totally irrational assholes, and you can't really do anything to them but lob loads idle threats.

Word. I am an absolute Levis Honk but even I was a bit leery of No. 1 overall hype but you could see it on Saturday. That guy is a stud QB.

Every time the Bills/Josh Allen win another game, the Will Levis stock goes up a point or two.

Right now, the NFL absolutely loves big, strong QBs who can "make all the throws" (that will never change), and QBs who aren't necessarily run first, but can move well enough to be really dangerous on their feet.

In addition to his obvious talent, he's just hitting the draft at the exact right time for his skill set.

Doesn’t seem like anything more than politics but apparently the KY Democratic Party isn’t happy with the cozy relationship Stoops/Marrow have with the Crafts. Hopefully that is all this open records request is.

If that’s what it takes to win, then so be it.

We better see the same the rest of the year. I’m confident Mark and Eddie had a heart to heart with dumbass SCANG. Protect the QB. Run CRod. We have a ways to go, but at least we developed some sort of identify. 239-239 run/pass split. Pretty beautiful once we quit kicking ourselves in the ass.

White showed off on Saturday. Just a dominant performance against a very good offensive team. Nothing would make me happier than to put the clamps on the Vols.

Scangy also had his best game but did throw a couple of head scratchers in there. First half didn't produce points, but that was mostly on drive killing pre-snap penalties, a missed FG and the fumble. We moved the ball decently. Second half was a thing of beauty. Put up 24 points and would've been 31 if Stoops wasn't such a gentleman.

I was hoping for a couple of 2nd and short play action bombs, like Brooks used to do with Woodson and co., but that never happened. We just ran it up the gut and converted. Run until we have to pass is probably what this team should be doing, at least until opponents start to respect our run game more or our pass pro improves. It has been abysmal, is facing blitzing, stunting, loaded fronts because of it, and we've improved at running the ball nearly every week. Also, Levis is unbelievable on 3rd down. I can't exactly explain why, but the stats are insane. He was 9/9 with 194 yds on 3rd downs. Had a similar stat line a few weeks ago (NIU game?). He was 1st in the SEC in 3rd down success rate heading into the game and widened the margin.

The up top to Key (and catch) was so nasty. My seats in 5 had the ball coming directly at me....dude just launched it straight into the air and gave him what seemed like 10 seconds to run under it....before diving and bringing it in like he does about 97% of the time.

Kid is just the epitome of a 'go to' receiver - he's gonna do whatever it takes to bring the ball in, and his success rate on tough catches is unreal. Can't ever recall a better freshman receiver here, that's for damned sure.

Trevin Wallace needs to be out there on blitz packages / passing downs. His 0-10 burst is unreal when he goes north & south after the QB. He looks to force those statistical 'QB hurries' a lot more successfully than Jaquez/Deandre. Lots of rushed/panicked throws.

Again, it's crazy to me how pedestrian we made Will Rogers look. Dude went 62-65 against us without breaking a sweat last season and we turn around and derail their nice little story. #morecowbell

- Great little tailgate. Didn't have a drop of bourbon until the 'roadie' and it paid off. The Drake's mini-buffalo sliders are just solid AF. Biased of course, but I think the 'praline brittle' should be a mainstay. Anth, I think I sent the recipe to you last year. Feel free to use as needed, per Mel & Dena.

- Goldschwaggggg
- Butterscotch
- bourbon cream
- cinnamon

- If we beat Tennessee in 2 weeks, it will the the greatest UK football win of my life, TMFS. Talking tons & tonsof Stoops equity from me. Vol Twitter is easily the worst of the worst -- and it will be my Super Bowl of Super Bowls. Scang will need to be flawless if we're going to have a chance, imo. Maybe not throw out 3 WR screen passes in succession, hoss?

Scang is fine. He’ll have to be very creative v Vols. I think he has it in him.

Commentators Pre Game: Will Rodgers IV is a great QB, not a ‘system’ QB
Me: that ragarmed turd is the definition of a system QB.

Levis made more throws Saturday than Lamar did yesterday against the Giants. That dude is so inaccurate, and a choke artist. Hahah!

Some lines from Leach.

"They were patiently sitting there watching us screw up. And then whipping our offensive line"

"Kentucky does a great job and have for some time. Then, they decided they were going to eat the clock up, which they were determined to do that. We held them to not too many points and had a defensive touchdown, we let them convert a bunch of third downs and keep the ball."

"I think they were playing with lower pads than we were. I think they ran their feet on contact. I think they consistently whipped our defensive line. And that running back played as good as I’ve seen in the conference."

His opening monologue was great. 🤣

Taking an 8 month old on a 10-day International trip was ambitious, at times chaotic- but ended up working out well.

London/Edinburgh/St. Andrews. Didnt do much more than stroll around in London and my wife did her standard shopping. There were tons of Packers and Giants fans all over for the NFL game. Was surprised to see how many in the UK follow the NFL too and when i asked a guy about he responded honestly that "we like anything you can bet on"

Edinburgh was beautiful, in an old, gothic way. We were blessed with great weather while we were there (ie it wasnt pouring rain). There was a train strike and our timetables and train bookings had to get rescheduled which cost me two tee times, but ultimately spending that with the family worked out fine. Pubs and people in Scotland were both great. It was a walkable city for the most part, and safe enough to just take off and go explore a bit.

St. Andrews was the crown jewel of the trip, for me anyway. I tried for a couple of days to get on The Old Course through the ballot without any luck- so I ended it waiting in the singles queue overnight. Was freezing (mid 30's) and a wind/mist coming off of the water- but it was a cool experience. Met guys from all over the world. Ultimately was out there all night and at a little after 7:30 they let me know I was on with a group at 11:00. I played with Pete from Raleigh, Clint from Calgary, and a guy who spoke very little English at all and thus we knew very little about him.

The sun was out for the whole round- but the wind was amazing. I hadnt played in anything like that. Ended up shooting 44/44. I felt like I hit the ball ok- but scoring there, especially the first time- is tough. Missing your target by a few yards means youre in a bunker, the ball is rolling off the green, or coming right back to your feet. Most fun i've had playing golf in a long time. Played out sideways from a fair amount of fairway bunkers on the back, I did get up and down from the Road Hole bunker, and also tried the same putt from the valley of sin that Cam Smith had and obviously he did it better. Finished with a beer at the Dunvegan. My child already hanging out at the Jigger Inn and the Dunvegan will hopefully somehow put some type of golf nature in her.

Made it home late Saturday in time to catch the game... nothing really to add but god that first half, coming off of the last two weekends left me confused at to what the hell our offense is supposed to be. Still not really sure- its not a pro-style offense. They can keep calling it that, but unless pro-style means "some run, some pass, take some snaps under center" there just isnt much *pro* about it.

-scang ain't fine kook:

Not using crod against OM on short yardage and red zone played a huge factor in that loss.

Bullshit Mumme play on 1st play of line of scrimmage against uscjr was a borderline fireable offense...put us behind the 8 ball with a qb that hadn't played a meaningful snap is his college career. Atrocious.

Slip screen pick 6 on 4th and short...when your all sec rb is looking like godzilla vs. Tokyo and your d is dominant. Literally the only way MSU gets back in the game.

-plenty of room for improvement.

^that said, I do like how "you people" look after your own. Admirable.

-been years since I missed a home SEC game...but holy crap the stadium is loud. I'm a block east of Chinoe and could hear everything clear as day.

Great weekend in Lex sans kids. Laha's in Hodgenville on the way up. Drove the long way through central KY with the windows down and heat on. AirBnb right near Ashland. Beautiful neighborhood. Trees poppin. Weather on point. Walked downtown. Drink at Harvey's. Dinner at Le Deauville. Also hit up Blue Door, Magee's, Spalding's, DV8. Gummies, bourbon. Cats win.

I posted about my now 20yr old (former XC runner) finishing the No Business 100 last year around this time. He went on to win a 50K in even worse terrain about 6 weeks later. He couldn't shut the training off and it's literally all he thought about. His body started to break down from all the training and then he got typhoid fever in a foreign country in February and spent a week in the hospital. He's 6'2" and got down to 126lbs.

He had signed up at the first opportunity in January to run the NB again which is in the opposite direction this year so there is a different set of challenges to prepare for. I thought he made the decision to drop months ago. He just informed me he didn't drop and he's going to try to run again this year and just finish to get the double buckle for finishing it in both directions. He hasn't ran more than 5-6 miles at a time since January except for one long run back in August. He's just now getting close to what he weighed as a senior XC runner.

Moral of the story is that XC makes you nuts.
Update: He finished with a time was 27:08. His time last year was 27:05. We have no idea how he was within 3 minutes of last year. His goal was just to finish before the 33hr cut-off but he said it was like his body knew what it needed to do when he got out there. That makes him the youngest to ever complete it both directions. As all of you sports parents know, there is nothing like seeing your kid succeed when they compete. UKO sucks.
