This Strawther dude is the truth. Can run the floor and has so much finesse.

not gonna lie, he looks like the alien in Close Encounters -but Chet is a dynamic force.

Like 2015, Duke is going to win the title this year just to put a cherry on top of K’s career and piss us off further. The sooner you come to terms with it the better.

Duke hasn’t improved November-March since that season so cool out

* I like how balanced our scoring is. Even without our second highest scorer last night, we totaled 86 with no one scoring more than 14.

We've got at least seven guys who can get 20+ on a given night. Hopkins or Collins may get there by March, too. That should (in theory) make us a tough out in the tourney. Like Hatboggan said earlier, it is nice to see us get 86 even when we shot 8% from the three point line in the first half.

* Have we had a game since Duke with a full roster? I can't recall this many guys having one or two game injuries so early in a season. Sort of weird. I guess it gives Cal a chance to experiment with lineups. I wish that experimentation involved leaving Ware on the bench and giving Hopkins those minutes.

* After the first substitutions, it seemed like Cal did a better job of keeping at least three scorers on the floor last night -- especially with Brooks and Mintz out and Toppin needing to get back in the flow.

* I'm rooting for Duke to go 35-1 with a loss to Butthole State in the second round to properly send Coach K out to pasture. Hopefully the crying Duke kid from years back is in attendance and he weeps again for the cameras.

* Big Oscar continues to average more rebounds than our leading scorer does points. If he pulls that off for the season (and it is shockingly possible) that will be incredibly impressive.

* Louisville was a three point favorite as of yesterday. I know the game is at Papa John's Stadium but that still seems unreal the day before the game. I don't know what I'm missing. We've only got one bad loss and that was on the road to Mike Leach. Louisville's 6-5 against a bad ACC.

Weird.

Hopefully Levis comes out to start the game like this brass-balled hero:

When I watch this basketball team I see a Final Four and NCAA title contender. They’re so unselfish. They already have a chemistry this early on. If two of the four of Ware, Toppin, Collins and Hopkins develop enough they are title contenders.

This team fits Cal’s personality/coaching damn near perfectly.

Omicron variant....where do they come up with these names?

My favorite thing about the Kansas game ending was that was the Dayton dude's only shot of the day.

Not a fan of our slow starts. At least we are stretching leads out as the game goes.

If the Keels from last night played against us, we beat Duke.

Kneejerk reaction but can you win a championship if Nembhard is your pg?

Daimion Collins had an air ball, a charge, two bad 3 point attempts, and also showed us how great he can be as he improves. That guy needs to hurry up and get really good by March because he won’t be around for a sophomore season.

If this Michigan-Ohio State game doesn’t pump you up, you’re not a sports fan. Come on Wolverines.

I'm for Ohio State. They beat the hell out of Michigan and Penn State smokes Michigan State today, it will make Michigan St fans (such as my co-worker) realize further that they spent about $60M more than they should have to lock up Mel Tucker.

*Would indeed be awesome to be in The Big House today. Bucket list.

*Duke looked scary good 1st half but came back down to earth a bit 2nd half. Caught Zags on a night where they shoot 28% from 3. Won't be many like that. And Duke's outside shooting might be a concern for them also.

*Beat UL

Collins is the type of player Cal needs to figure out the balance to get him experience but also get him back. Not saying he won’t be a good pro, but with NIL in place it’s those types that would benefit from a second year in college.

In the NBA he will sit for 2 years before he gets real clock because he will need to gain weight and strength, and by skipping a college season he will be needing to get there against grown ass men instead of kids his age.

I’m not a Michigan fan in the least but I’m so damn tired of the status quo in college football. F Ohio State, Bama and Clemson.

two bad 3 point attempts
No such thing! If it increases our 3 point attempts, then it's a good thing. I don't even know why we shoot 2s. 90-95% of our shots should be 3s. Doesn't even matter if we make them. The most important thing is that our attempts are among the tops in the nation. Even more important than wins and losses actually.

How does anyone like Ohio state over anything? You know my take on everything Ohio. Touch the reds and bengals. Armpit of America. That place is a shithole, sorry Chad.

Michigan, Ohio State... same f'ing thing. We're going to have one of those two schools in the playoff. It makes no difference to me if it's one of those two. I hate them both.
