County Clerk's office in Fayette is one of the many reasons I don't know if I ever would leave Woodford County. I once stood in line for 3 hours when I lived in Lexington just to renew my wife's car tags. 3 Hours with some of Lexington's finest.....
Woodford, in and out in 5 minutes while exchanging pleasantries with sweet ladies who work there and are super helpful, as well as friends from the Sheriff's department. Easy & Quick. The way it should be when the government is requesting our money.
Retention is a bonus of NIL that isn't being talked about all that much. As mentioned, Reed will be making 7 figures here, almost without question.
But take a guy like Brooks, or even Allen. Here, they're making damn good money...were they to transfer somewhere else, they'd essentially be nobodies as far as NIL $$ is concerned - at least compared to their situation here at Kentucky.
Going to be a much more difficult decision for dudes like that to transfer away (or enter the draft with little-to-no chance of being drafted) and forfeit literally 6 (multiples?) figures of guaranteed easy income.
I have to assume that played a large role in Mintz returning to come off the bench.

- Competed for the 8th time on Saturday and had my first ever perfect day. 9/9 on my attempts, ended with a 450 squat, 200 bench (FINALLY) and a 420 (nice) deadlift for a 1070 total in the 181 weight class, which is 70 lbs on my total from last October and almost 6x bodyweight. Easily my best and most fun meet to date. I hit absolutely huge PRs across the board and these numbers set me up for a couple lifetime lifting goals, with several likely in the cards for my next meet in April 2022. Plus, I qualified for pro day of a meet I've wanted to do since I got into the sport. A whole lot of "why we do this."
In related news, I could sleep for a week and a half straight.
- I missed the game Friday night because I had to go to sleep at grandma hours, but seeing Damion Collins' murderous dunk first thing as I got ready to lift was a pretty excellent pump-up. It doesn't beat the WCS dunk against UC in 2015, because that guy definitely got PTSD, but shew.
- Finally caught up with the rest of the world and started You. Feels weird to cheer for a stalker, but also, maaaaaaaaaan, F Peach Salinger.
- I want Reed but I don't want to get him to suffer the John Calipari treatment. I'll still be thrilled when/if he commits.

add ricotta
add fresh oregano
add fresh rosemary
add toasted pignoli chopped
hand-grated Romano
In addition to base ingredients:

Progresso Italian Breadcrumbs
Locatelli Romano
Salt Pep

Raisins (only for holidays)

I use day old bread and veal. They're staying in for mine. For bulk I'll stick with dried herbs.
I'll yell you whats overrated in a meatball... wagyu ground beef. Too much fat content and the meat is so tender the meatballs end up being mushy.
Louisiana has the DMV, but also privately owned license stores that add a small fee (like $5-10) for services. It’s extremely rare to take more than 10 minutes or so for the entire process, and you actually walk out not wanting to kill everyone.
You can’t put them in a rolling boil pot of sauce… low and slow and let them steep for 3hrs.
This sounds waaaaaaay too efficient for Louisiana. I'm intrigued.
I place them in baking dish, single layer, and cover with sauce. Bake on 350 for about an hour. Pull at 150-155. Way easier to control.

- I really like this team and think we’re going to end up damn good. Early analytics loving everything Oscar brings on both ends, and hating all our long 2s. Also showing a strong halfcourt D.

- The toddler experience is a rollercoaster. They are so fun and cute but they get into everything. We had a birthday party Saturday afternoon - we lasted 10 minutes as my daughter immediately upon seeing people she didn’t recognize melted down into a screaming fit. Awesome. Good seeing everyone.

- The flow of the college football season is always interesting. Went to from the hot upstart to a team largely ignored again. My enthusiasm is still there. Three LARGE goals still there for the taking- beat the shit out of Louisville; go to a bigtime bowl; and win 10 games.
- I’m generally against the Pinteresting of America but I love a good Friendsgiving. Looking forward to leaning into some of my buddy’s finest brown water.
- Steph Curry the most likable athlete of this generation? Has to be, right?
- Narcos Mexico is so damn good.

CJ is a far superior player to Allen, but it may be a blessing in disguise for the program, if he indeed recovers and finishes his career here. We just don't really need him this season, and his impact would be minimalized just due to depth -- but sure will be awesome to have him for the next 2.
Think Mintz is the better comparison here. Maybe doesn't have quite the same 3FG% as Fredrick, but defense and ball handling are similar.
I guarantee you CJ is not "far superior" to allen. 1, I've seen his stat lines. 2, he's white. 3, Dontaie Allen is way better than anybody will give him credit for. That's a gd fact. We had one player on the entire squad capable of beating a guy off the dribble, driving down the middle of the lane, and dunking the basketball. That guy was Dontaie, a sneaky 6'6" assassin from Falmouth, KY.

Wish we had that sort if option here, but our county clerk is terrible. Same guy, preceeded by his father has been in that position for several decades. They stayed shut down as long as they could during covid, then the CC bitched incessantly when they had to open back up.
If course I'm transferring an old jonboat with no hull ID and the listed owner has been dead for over a decade. Today was my 6th unsuccessful trip to that hellhole on this endeavor.
In 2019 we could send a guy with a check and a passing test score to Frankfort to get his Journeyman license. Something he worked for 2 years and studied his/her ass off to achieve. Great milestone for those folks. They would process it and give it to him that day. Right now they're running 8-9 weeks for that same process and it's not because of an influx of applicants. In fact applications are way down. There's no real reason given. Who cares if that 9 weeks delay for a guy getting a raise or the ability to get a promotion?

- I know it's just Vandy, but there is not a better way for a fan (errr, COMMON fan) to get a close up look at the Football Cats than scoring tickets behind the visiting sidelines at Vanderbilt Stadium. Row 8, 30 yard line for us. Took the fam and my kids loved it.
- Did the Catwalk and got to see the guys walk right in front of my son and daughter. Many of the players stopped by and hugged their loved ones who were all standing right next us. JJ Weaver's crew was especially nice. . . and hype!
- They may sell beer at Vandy games, but $8.50 for a 16 oz. Tallboy and 15+ minute wait lines make it rough on all the Strokin_Bandits out there.
- Tailgated with and sat next to one of my longtime college friends who lives in Nashville. I need him to be my hype man, apparently. He has a 4 year old son who just clung by my side all night. I asked my buddy why he was so taken up with me and he told me it was because he told him I was a high school basketball coach. 🤣 Little dude was enamored. I told my friend that he needs to come be my PR guy!
- Also had some work friends take a "guy's trip" down for the game and made a day out of it. It ended up that their seats were a row behind us. One is a huge loud mouth and his voice really carries. He got to yell at all of UK's name-brand guys. Just imagine "get in the hole!" guy at a golf tournament, but it's the Vandy football game. Yeah. Anyway, the highlight was when he yelled at the longsnapper(?) whose last name is Goodfellow. I fed him the line, but "HEY GOODFELLOW . . . YOU'RE A GREAT FELLOW!!!" really brought the house down

- I remember Smoke run the ball once. I didn't go out of my way to notice, but he didn't seem too engaged on the sideline. The one time he was out there, I caught a glimpse of Stoops and he didn't seem too thrilled with whatever it was he did. The rest of the night he just sorta stood in one little spot with his hands stuffed in a warmer.
- I stayed surprisingly comfortable, but my son didn't listen to his mother and got cold because he wore thin socks and athletic pants. We were outta there after a few minutes into the 4th. Kid was asleep before we got out of the parking garage. From our garage to that Vandy garage, it was about a 55 minute one way trip. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday night.
