One of the things I have slowly realized over the last 3-4 years is righteous anger, misrepresentation of facts, victim mentality and contempt for those that disagree are the true traits shared by the VAST majority of people who care deeply about politics, regardless of side. Virtually every trait that people hate in the other side, is found in their side, just on a different issue. The amount of people who enjoy truly discussing issues, making policy and friendly disagreement in that realm is declining daily. It is part of why I have found myself caring less about the political world in last 18 months, even though my beliefs remain as strong.
I think they refer to this concept as the law of perpetuity.

It seems to be a confusion between PROOF and EVIDENCE. I'm not a lawyer, but those two things are not the same.

I don’t really post in the GYERO formally but can I get in on some them free shitty bar foods and good wings too? I enjoy anything fried in fat.

There is direct evidence in the form of personal testimony of both the racial slurs and the gun. Now you can choose to believe or disbelieve either one (Wayne believes the Frat kids bc he is a frat kid and the players are black, most UK fans believe the UK players and many of you seem to believe neither) but their testimony is not hearsay. That is something else

I believe the frat kids re: racial slurs because I was almost involved in a frat guy vs football team fight back in college. As that situation escalated, the last thing I was trying to do is antagonize any of the players. I assume the frat guys would have been in the same position (i.e., well overmatched in the fight). Now, did some chick mouth off and utter a racial slur? Perhaps. But I assume if it was one of the frat guys he would be in the hospital.

I don't have an opinion on the gun. In one article someone described seeing the gun and describing the exact type. But who knows?

Overall, my argument is that calling someone a racial slur (or any other name) does not give the offended person carte blanche to physically beat someone. I assume you, as a lawyer, would agree with that.

I mean there was literally a fraternity when we were in school whose formal included all the actives getting dressed up in confederate soldier uniforms. We used to hang out at the Dixie Tavern, and for a solid 15 years Larry Redmons closing act was to rock out to Sweet Home Alabama while the rebel flag dropped behind him. Bars would make up dress codes specifically targeting blacks. I’ll admit — I was right there enthusiastically participating in all of it.

I’m seriously wondering if some of y’all went to the same school that I did.

Wasn’t like that on North Campus.

Speaking of blacks, there was a KFC on North Campus. Back then that was a huge luxury, and we’d routinely drive over there just to steal food. The cashiers were almost exclusively Asian foreign exchange students. WTF were they gonna do about it?

My mother waves a Confederate flag on a daily basis, Vern. I'm not sure why you are cooking her prime rib, you treason sympathizer.

Too funny Rogue telling everyone how great living in Key West is while at the same damn time blaming Key West for everything that sucks in his life. Speak with a forked tongue and playing both sides of the fence ATKOT.

The ONLY retro tennis shoe that can be worn (for style) and has stood the test of time is the Nike Cortez. All of the Reebok, New Balance, Adidas was shit then, and are shit now.

Drinking 5/6 beers nightly M-TH, and increasing intake on the weekends along with the occasional hard liquor is the perfect way to balance it all out, the key is too moderate the hard stuff. You should not have to "take a month off". Taking a month off is for *ussie ass losers. What is the purpose? To try and convince yourself you are not an alcoholic? WGAF?

The UK football players ordeal I had pegged exactly right from the time the story broke. All the preppy ass rich boys I have ever knew was always getting into Shenanigans and doing illegal shit just like everybody else, and could party with the best of Em. BUT, when something goes down and they are either going to get in trouble, or think their parents are about to cut the card off for doing something they should not be doing, they will chirp like a canary. It is almost a 100% lock when jammed up, rich, white dude will lie, or try to rat his way out of it, no matter the outcome for those he is betraying. If it mean even telling on his boys Chesson and Jordan, then so be it. You will never see a real drop dime on DeAndre or Terrance or even Timmy / Danny (regular white guys). Live by the Street Code, for those who do not know the 3 main rules, I will provide them:
1. Make Paper
2. Stay Fresh
3. Don't Snitch.

"University said" = Exactly what the football players told them. I can guarantee you one thing, they ALL had the EXACT same story and stuck to it, and nobody said there was a gun, even if there was. Stick to the script, do not deter from it, make someone PROVE it, but under absolutely NO circumstance do you drop dime on your boyz. Even if it means YOU get charged with something.

UK CAN win Saturday, but they have to cut down on mental mistakes, don't put the ball on the ground, and play every down. We will have to play our B+ game, the crowd SHOULD be hyped. IF they win and get to 5-0, they boat race LSU the next week. UK has to win at least ONE of the next two. DO that, we will have arrived. Lose both, it will snowball with having to travel to Georgia and losing 3 in a row. Talk about a Momentum Killer and then travel to Miss. State suddenly has them second guessing how good they really are. Only winning one of the two, after Georgia game, you are still 5-2.

I wasn't saying the fraternities didn't have racist members; I was saying they weren't dumb enough to call bad ass football players a racial slur to their face.

I was actually kidding Wayne, but then you decided to post and prove that my joke was correct. While I am sure the fact that you almost got in a fight over 20 years ago is surely relevant to these proceedings, everything else is just nonsense.

You believe the frat kids because you relate to them. You don’t relate to the football players. You made up a fact (that there were 15-20 players when there were 6) and at least gave some credibility to the testimony of the gun (“in one article someone described the gun and the exact type”) bc it was made by Johnny Frat and none to that of the players bc….well bc the SAEs once fought with Pookie Jones.

Then you said your main point (which up until this moment you hadn’t made in any of your posts today) was that you can’t go beating people up bc people say slurs (which you don’t think they said). There is even LESS evidence they beat anyone up since literally no player was charged with assault. But you believe it bc….well your post explains why.

I made my initial comment as a little bit of a joke/acknowledgment that your posts on here have racial undertones that have grown over the past year. I didn’t really think it was true. But then you basically confirmed it was. Well done. I under/over estimated you

No, Wayne is just straight up racist. We've covered that.

Can I just say something? I have no idea if racial slurs were used or if a gun was on the player. But this not what hearsay is. Hearsay is testifying the truth of something in court based on what someone else told you

This has been my TED talk
Pretty rude to ask a question and then not wait for an answer before giving a TED talk.

Pretty sure that was in the old Blazer cafeteria. I think it was connected to the honors dorm... ugh. Just a nerd/unattractive girl smorgasbord.

You completely overestimate the intelligence of college males. I once saw a scrawny white kid call a ripped black dude the n-word in the dorm. He then hid in his dorm until the UK police came and escorted him off campus.

Kinda krazy to read some frat kid did anything but try to be kosher with the football guys.

It doesn’t have to be out of fear to respect their position and try to help keep them in the lines, because they don’t need much provoking to jump off and crush your ego.

Anyone who tests those guys are douchebags by way of disrespecting UK Football.

If you aren’t on board with that, your dumbass deserves whatever happens to you. Which is why a certain little white fella beat the shit out of a few folks, a few times, and really no one went out of their way to get him in trouble.

Find @SAECATFAN on twitter. It's pinned there. Apologies, Jdrum. I know you probably aren't that worried about it, but I get and respect that rule.

Lol. Yeah man that's not going to be allowed. No way catspause and rivals are going to allow someone as widely followed as you take Rivals down. I'm sure their legal team is already on it.

Remember when it snowed 18 inches back in 98 and the campus shut down? I recall football players form tackling unsuspecting students at full speed into snow banks between Kirwin and Blanding Towers. So yeah, my view on the football team was that they acted a lot like frat guys, but with even fewer concerns for consequences of their action but less free time on their hands to do stupid shit.

They used to come over to Haggin during snowstorms and wage war on us. It was fun as hell, but I never got tagged too bad. Saw a couple of dudes get power-bombed, though. 😆
