- For as much chicken as I eat, I'm kicking myself for sleeping on chicken thighs. Sure they'll be even better on the smoker this summer, on a Sunday, poolside with multiple domestos.

- Leorever makes a damn fine hoodie.

- Less than two weeks for spring training to get underway. With no vested interest in Madness that's about all the sports on this guys radar until we reach the distant shores of Lord Football.

- At the point with bourbon now that I'm sticking with the tried and true distilleries like Old Fo, 4Roses, Turkey and Buffalo Trace, as I've wasted more money on shitty fly-by-night bottles than I care to admit.

- Taking a lot of flack for never seeing The Soprano's through from soup to nuts. In my defense, didn't have HBO until the final season and felt it'd be the equivalent of up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, Start if I jumped in then. No excuse for never diving in, it's now on my 'to-do' list.

- Anth's trainer is no effing joke. 50 minute workout last weekend that was complete balls-to-the-wall, to failure and beyond for every set. DOMS the next 3 days . Really miss having a trainer that would pull that extra effort out of you. Coupled with the ambiance of that gym, best purchase that guy has made in ages.

- One way ticket to Naples end of this month. With no SECT roadie and MM hoopla to fill the calendar, may just stay the whole month. Marcus

I also recently binged for the first time, it's the goat tv series and I'd welcome an argument otherwise

My everyday drinkers.

Still hoping Chief will find his Gamestonk.
I’m good Doc. Had a 4 bagger with AMC with extra cash that was on the sidelines.

I’ll stick with the Apple train. As soon as they announce a partnership for a car the stock will take off again. Some analysts have targeted $200+.

Janice kind of fits in well during the last season, imo. AJ, otoh...

The last scene of the episode - lazy and viral.

Still the greatest series ever.

Never seen the sapranos or The Godfather movies, love mafia stuff. Just don’t really have the time to get into it it seems, but hope to one of these days.

Me and my wife have had a tradition for a good 10 years of getting Cajun food on Fat Tuesday. She had to get something for a coworker first so stopped by that shop only to find out it went out of business. Then decided to drive to J Gumbos as it’s family friendly and grab some food and listen to the band playing there like last year. Out of business. COVID can eat my ass. Ate at aplace called MELT which was awful.

Oh is having a personal trainer that you can work out with every day a good investment? Cool, never thought of that. Here I put my all my money on a personal chef and masseuse and never thought about the personal trainer thing. I’ll ask my sommelier if he has any good recommendations.

Everyday isn't required or advised. I would suggest a masseuse, and rather than a sommelier, try the vivino app. Also, learn how to cook. Way more enjoyable than running a loud, stinky, lawnmower over your .5 acres of American Pie.

YW.

Soprano’s really hits you in many ways. Flashy characters contrasted with some absolute energy vampires. I shift my disdain to Livia/Janice/Anthony jr...and even sometimes Christopher. It gets more painful every time.

Tony is by far the best and one worst person. Silvio my second fave, uncle Jun is an honery cuss.

Highs and Lows man.

Bada Bing.

Went to Deer Valley,Utah skiing for a little get away. Saturday night eating dinner, I get a text that my Denver to Louisville flight Monday afternoon is cancelled due to the expectation of bad weather. Two focking days ahead of time.
While I skiid Sunday the old lady spent all day trying to get us anywhere close and then drive the rest of the way. Tried to get to Chicago, Indy, st Louis, Nashville, or Atlanta. Nothing.
Took our normal salt lake to Denver on Monday, then got lucky to get stand by to Indy last night. Got in Indy at almost midnight, got the last 4 wheel drive and drove home.
So we flew into indy that had 8+ inches and drove half the night to get to Louisville where they had 3 inches of snow.
Others in the group had to fly today to Chicago then drive, Columbus then drive and Birmingham then drive. All for 3 inches of fu@king snow. Fu@k off.

~The saltless just need to hang tight for another 5 days and the temps will take care of your issue.....otherwise, hoard away.

~Sleepy Joe took care of global warming in just a couple of months and froze Texas in the process. Awesome.

~Soprano's final show was actually terrible....in relation to the rest of the series. By itself, it was ok, nothing more. In terms of the story line....Breaking Bad AND Better Call Saul were both better written dramas.

~If you are supposed to be at work at 8, and there is snow...leave earlier. The late to work because of snow forgiveness factor is way overplayed.

~New year...new people at the gym....new annoyances. I am starting to sound like WCC in gripe mode.

~Andy can go full restaurant capacity any time now, but he is holding that noose as long as possible.

~First shot in the books.

Stay safe.

Sopranos is quite the time investment and perhaps a smidge overrated (to me), but I think The Godfather is well worth a watch, even over a couple days. I’d go right into II afterwards.

There’s not much else that can be said- it’s perhaps the greatest movie of all-time, it still holds up today and stars a handful of the greatest actors of all-time - Pacino, Brando, Caan, Duvall, Keaton, etc.

Take an hour out of dude/dad time the next few evenings with a bourbon and get started.

::nodding::

For me, I did not watch it when it came out and only tried after I had binge watched other GREATEST TV SHOWS OF ALL TIME like The Wire, Breaking Bad, etc. The Sopranos is awesome and ground-breaking but I think it is better thought of as the series that made TV great again.

It opened the way for incredibly well-written, sequentially told stories to be broadcast on cable over a series of years. Previously, Sopranos would have been nothing more than a really good two and a half hour long mob movie. After it became a hit, the road was salted for things like Game of Thrones, etc. that would have been criminally unserved by making them into a movie or even a series of movies.

tl:dr -- Groundbreaking but not as good as the stuff that it paved the way for.

I've been working on Breaking Bad, currently stuck about halfway through season two. I like it okay, but already there have been a few episodes that are worthless. Just no point, no action, no involvement in any storylines. I can't rate it GOAT when 20% of the episodes bore me into losing interest.
