I was on man’owar and the interstate. Not great, just not as bad as I thought they’d be.

Side rides are bad.

I know the plow trucks have no choice in the cul de sac, but blocking in 3 of my neighbors has provided some comedy already. Whether it be falling trying to shovel out or in 1 case the wife asking the husband for help and him telling her to call in to work is the only help he has.

Even though my truck can handle it, I guess I’ll shovel the drive anyway and make the “men” in this neighborhood look even worse.

I got out yesterday around 5 to shovel the drive and walkway to the house, also put down salt. Apparently I’m the only one on the block that owns a snow shovel or anything closely resembling a set.

You’re surprised no one else shoveled their drive at night when there was another 12+ hours of precipitation coming?

Not at all, nor am I surprised that my neighbors remind me of you and are too pussy to shovel the drive so their wives can easily get to the store, or work, or anywhere really.

Sad group of youts if you ask me.

My wife has no need to leave the house because I’m smart enough to read a weather forecast and prepare to not have to get out for a couple days. And even if we did need to get out I would be the one getting out.

I was actually out shoveling driveways of a couple neighbors who are nurses and have no choice but to get out and pushing and digging out cars that got stuck yesterday afternoon.

In summery GFY.

- All seasons of "24" now streaming on the Roku Channel. Even 20 years old, the sound of that timer gets the ol' blood pumping a bit.

- Leonard Hamilton has to be the most underappreciated coach of the past 20 years. Just wins at a great clip in an elite conference, and without a ton of incoming five-stars. Won't get his due until he makes the FF, obviously, but what that guy has accomplished is crazy impressive, all because FSU gave him the time to struggle through some early rough patches and a dip halfway through his tenure. And his former assistant Dennis Gates is killing it at Cleveland State, so a natural succession looks to already be in play.

- Scotty Davenport....goodness. Figured it would take a few years for Bellarmine to get their D-1 legs under them, but they're already right there. Always curious to see what hugely-successful small college coaches can do at a higher level. Really thought Ray Harper would have done a bit better, but he's still scuffling after his flameout at WKU.

- Boston College doesn't need to overthink this. Hire the Vermont coach. If not him, Howard Eisley. Hire Bill Curley and Dana Barros as his assistants. Profit.

Shoveling the drive touched a few nerves I see. Just terrible to hear a bunch GYERO at least not pay someone to do it.

Oh well, it’s done and feels great. Even the kids appreciated it as they have a dry place to take a break later when we get out in it.

Well let’s see....I waited until it had pretty much stopped with the heavy stuff. My gal had to be able to leave around 6:30am for work and I wasn’t about to try to get her shoveled out then.
Was worth the extra 2 hours of sleep for dad.

Some of you lazy bums are going to look SO stupid when that huge pile of snow is still sitting there cluttering up your driveway for months and months and months.

So stupid.

There is no clearer example of the pro-K media bias than the way they're treating this Jalen Johnson story vs. the way they'd handle it if Clarke(or anyone else) did the same thing at Kentucky. I've seen one brief mention of off-court stuff between Duke and Johnson's "camp", but you better believe there won't be anything else written about it.

On a related note....the last three Crystal Ball picks for Patrick Baldwin are all for UW-Milwaukee, where his dad coaches, instead of Duke, which had been considered the favorite.

Warms my heart.

-I clear the deck, patio, and a path to the garage. Typically my neighbor is up before me and does the sidewalks, so I either clear any that came after or hit my other neighbors sidewalks. No chance I'm doing the entire drive.

-Props to Huber for selling me the biggest damn generator I've ever seen. Freaked out a bit yesterday when it was pissing rain and 20 degrees. WS has kindly threatened my life since I own an electrical company and have yet to install a whole home generator. Thankfully, didn't lose power and I woke up alive... so what's the return policy? I kid.

-JCPS 🤣

-We closed an entire world for a virus, yet everyone in Lexington decided to be out driving this morning in an absolute shit show. Go home.

-New Meateater episodes start tomorrow. LEGGO.

-Man, CFA sounds good. Been doing pretty well so I'm sure I'll just get the regular chicken salad from 'potle.

-I appreciate KL trying to talk college ball but I just don't have it in me.

I typically shovel my driveway/sidewalk because I’m stupid. But it feels like a waste of time to attempt it in this mess. If anyone wants to run/walk in this crap and needs a clear path, that’s a “them” problem.

Also, how great is it that Tennessee fires their football coach to hire a Group of Five head coach whose results are declining with each season, only to see THAT Group of Five school replace him with a better coach than UT ended up with?

Gus is gonna kill it, while Heupel will barely scratch out above-.500 records.

Gonna be delicious.

Driveway at my old house was kind of steep and the exposure would not let it get a lot of sun. If you didn’t shovel then you weren’t getting your car up the driveway. If you did, it might slide back down.

current driveway is asphalt and responds well to the sun. I might clear a small area if possible but this is some kind of crunchy devil mixture. If you are a shoveler, invest in a nice steel snow pusher.

Efficient community snow removal is a nice byproduct of the proliferation of lawn service companies because Americans are lazy pieces of shit who refuse to walk behind a self-propelled mower for 45 minutes a week 8 months out of the year. GREAT JOB, America.

Trying to shovel with the ice we have is useless.
