When thinking about my emotions pertaining to UK basketball this year, it's probably best described by the scene from Goodfellas where Jimmy Burke finds out they wacked Tommy.

My first emotion is anger (Jimmy slamming the phone), immediately followed by sadness and disbelief (Jimmy crying and muttering "I can't believe it. I can't f'n believe it."), then admitting the situation to a friend while looking around wondering what to do next ("They wacked him. They f'n wacked him."), next comes more anger (Jimmy kicking over the phone booth) and then more crying while the friend tries to console me.

And, like Henry says, us UK fans just have to sit there and take it because it's real greaseball shit among the Italians.

I had a stretch where I blew out my knee playing soccer in NYC and lived near Pomme Frites. I would walk over there a few nights a week and eat fries for dinner. I would give the home run sign as I walked in and they would whip up my order and requisite sauces (Sweet Mango Chutney, Lemon Dill, Parmesan Peppercorn).

Years later it was blowed up real good in a gas explosion.

That tater tot take is so far off, it doesn’t conjur disagreement, anger, or confusion. It merely elicits dire pity.

There have been times I thought I was legit going to have a stroke during a UK game, and now I smirk and shake my head when we get beat on a last-second shot by a dog shit Georgia team. I honestly never thought I'd reach a place where I was starting to not give a shit and tune it out emotionally, but here I am.

Cal isn't just taking away our joy, he is eroding our passion for the program and the game. It's a dangerous position to be in, especially if we don't see legitimate changes. If you lose us, you've lost everyone.

Wendy’s fries are trash, a cup of cheese to dip them in is the only way to make them tolerable.

And I love fresh cut fries with the skin on, fresh cut to frozen doesn’t convey though

"These guys just don't know how to play. On a spring break trip to Florida one year some of us started playing at a pick-up court by the beach. Five slow honks from KY rolled any and all that day because we knew HOW to play."

I bet you did. 100% believable, you and your team full of Billy Hoyt's ran game all day. But truth is, they saw you guys "who know how to play" screaming at each other to "D Up" and calling timeouts setting up plays (dry erase clip board optional), and setting screens, didn't have the heart to play straight up. That has to be it, because under normal circumstances, you and "your crew" of YMCA rejects would have got washed like a dirty dish.

100% lock you guys probably took your custom print team jerseys (The Crew) or (The Know How To Plays) and matching head and wrist bands on Spring Break with you. I would have really enjoyed you dropping dimes on the brothers at the park.

🍗 it’s back!! 🍗

Good news! Fans of the delicious golden brown fried chicken previously sold at Lexington’s former Save-A-Lot store on Southland Drive can now enjoy it once again — for lunch or dinner, by the piece, by the meal, or by the bucket.

Critchfield Meats Family Market has made good on their promise from 2020 to begin selling the locally popular fried chicken at the retailer’s new location at the beginning of 2021 — the same spot previously occupied by Save-A-Lot.

Walking up in here and talking nonsense about Wendy's and Burger King having great french fries is a cancel culture/fireable offense/ban-worthy/show cause bunch of horse hockey.

Completely f'ing inexcusable.
Why don’t you etouff*** off this round, bub.

But be sure and chime in when the topic turns to underwater bug meat and cinnamon rolls with pixie sticks dumped on top.

I had it a couple weeks ago and it was still the same. They also have chicken strips now too, I got a couple for the kids and they’re have the same batter.

Need to go back for lunch to try one of the plate lunches, they only had the chicken when I went.

Been making my own fries and I finally have it down.

1) peel and cut large Idaho potatoes
2) soak in cold water with a little lemon juice for several hours to remove excess starch
3) pat dry, then fry at like 315 for 10 minutes
4) remove fries, turn fryer up to 375, then fry until crispy and golden brown (like 5 min.)

Or, you can get a bag of Ore Ida and fry for like 3 minutes. Your call.

I’ve been making my own fries, too.

1> drive to McDonalds
2> order fries and vanilla ice cream cone
3> receive notice the ice cream machine is currently broken
4> feel disappointed
5> pay for fries
6> take home and enjoy

It’s really a well lubricated process at this point. Don’t over complicate things.
