I thought Chad was talking specifically about the new choose your own adventure movie. Surely he is familiar with Black Mirror in general.

* Can’t get over how old 73’s kids are. Bunch of little ballers. Can’t freaking wait until they hit college and start slaying it. Will be living vicariously thru them for sure.

I totally agree with this. It’s hard to believe it’s been 13 years since JBP posted those pictures of him wearing 05 strapped to his chest while he wore that $2000 head shaper helmet that white dudes with money get sucked into unnecessarily buying their kids. Feels like yesterday, really. Except I looked at those photos while”studying” over a pint in our campus bar and now have grey pubes. ****.

- Missing NYC. What a town.

New York is a great place to visit, but shit to live here.

Next time in NYC, I suggest you visit a small bar on Stone Street called Vintry. The other night, coworkers and I went there and the whiskey selections were the best I’ve ever seen (for Scotch & Rye as well). Bartenders made sure you were exposed to their recommendations by offering free samples.

We hit some bourbon place in the Village that was pretty cool- snobby hipster bartender and all.

First road game of the year. Cal is 3-6 in those games at UK.

2010: Beat IU
2011: Lost to UNC
2012: Lost to IU
2013: Lost to ND
2014: Lost to UNC
2015: Beat UofL
2016: Lost to UCLA
2017: Lost to UofL
2018: Beat LSU

Curious to see how CHRIS has his team prepared in a big rivalry game. He was 6-3 against UC while at X, but that rivalry ain't this rivalry.

Have a feeling Blue will get in tomorrow. UofL turnout has been pretty bad this year, considering how they've played. Good opportunity for The Faithful to take advantage.

Haven't watched UofL at all this year, so no clue if we'll be able to keep their guards in front of us. Sure would be nice.

Curious to see what the line will be. Guessing UK -2.5?

We shoot better from three than they do, but they've shot way more than we have. Need PJ and Travis to do work and free up some open looks.

Own the glass. We're #4 in offensive rebounding %, they're #5 in defensive rebounding %.

Prediction: It'll be ugly. Cats by 4.

GOOOOOOOOO Cats

At least you'll get to watch it. I'm at an all day JV girls' basketball tournament in a gym that doesn't get cell reception.

Will be the first UK-UofL game I've ever missed.

Herro will break out sometime. Hopefully, it’s tomorrow.

We always have one dude you weren’t expecting having a huge game. I think it’s Richards but could it be Baker?

-I'll be watching the whole game on my couch and bouncing out as soon as it's over. The happy couple can have the rest of my day. It's a Catholic Mass, it'll be at min 45 minutes before anything good happens.

-Continue to play like we have the last 2 games and we'll be fine. We're better than them by a wide margin, just play like it. Can't imagine they want to get into a foul/hack fest with us, we're too deep for that.

-Thread on HOB which game would you rather win UL or Citrus Bowl? How is that even a question? Most of the replies were "Citrus Bowl STOOPS TROOPS!! it will change everything." False, bowl games are meaningless and I'd be over losing to PSU before I hit the parking lot.

-The electrical fire in NYC was crazy almost looked like something out of 'War of Worlds'.

- We're better than them by a wide margin, .

Based on what?

They haven't lost by a wide margin to anyone, and we're the 5th ranked team they've played. On the road, gonna take another good game ala UNC for us to win, imo. If we thump them, then I'll be fully on board w/ these dudes - but as it stands, we've had one impressive game this entire season thus far.

First, I didn't say win by a wide margin

But "based" on talent, depth and potential. They've been getting the most out of their dudes, no doubt. Don't think we win by a wide margin but if we play like we have the last 2 weeks I think we win by 5+.

I think their depth is the strength of their team, especially out top -- they play 9 capable dudes 18+ mpg, and have 6 guards better than Quickley or Baker (right now).

Where they're really lacking is at the 4 spot -- they really don't even have one on the entire roster. Hopefully PJ/Travis keep that little thing going. Also agree with Chad on Richards, Enoch is a pretty perfect matchup for him.

Kates by 5 late. Wouldn't be mad at Triple OT either [winking]

-Staying in state, is it okay to like Ja Morant? :eyes: My Racers found another one, persuing mock drafts this morning he's pretty much slotted between #3 & #7 on all of them. o_O

Always want to beat UofL obviously, but this year more than any in recent memory. Many other years recently, a loss would be a 'fluke' we could just move right past, but the way this season has started that's not really the case here.

This is a big one for this team, imo.
Exactly. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to wint he bowl but we need every good win we can get and we're talking about an actual game with implications moving forward during a season. Team finally showing us something the last few weeks and this is our blood rival, not the biggest game we have left, but certainly bigger than a bowl.

-granted im football guy...but the 1st 10 win season in 40 years>regular season bball game. Lets just win both.

-black mirror (some episodes) provides interesting satire/commentary on our tech-obsessed society. Dystopian sci-fi. It can be good...but not exceptional.

As a smug man I of course have Verizon phone service. But in looking to add a line possibly for a kid here soon it looks like Sprint is crazy cheaper and covers the mostly urbane areas I frequent for a lot cheaper especially since they stopped letting me trade up phones for basically free. Anyone have Sprint and hate it?

We’ll win another basketball game sometime. Hopefully, it’s tomorrow.

We always have one sport you weren’t expecting winning a game. I think it’s basketball but could it be football?

Max, I used to have Sprint for my whole cell phone life up until a few years ago. I thought it was great. Then I got Verizon and it actually works most anywhere, including stadiums. Verizon > Sprint

Oh yea, makes sense. Two lackluster teams going at it, except this time Chris Mack is the coach of UL.

You must be from Louisville because you're stupid as hell. I understand this probably means the world to Louisville Metro, but it's one of the more lackluster matchups in the Cal era...probably the most mehhhh of them all.

MEANWHILE WE ARE PLAYING NEW YEARS EVE FOOTBALL AGAINST PENN STATE LIKE WHAAAAA??

Ask Cal what game is more important. He'll tell you.

Beating Louisville is pretty damn important, but this team will have a lot more opportunities for resume building wins down the road if we lose. The Penn State game is huge for the program. Although the game is "meaningless" in a sense, it certainly is not meaningless to the perception and direction of the program. 10 wins for the first time in forever, beating a team that was at one point in the top 5 and is a traditional power on the rise. If we beat Penn State it'll further legitimize the program in the eyes of pollsters which can have an effect on our preseason ranking next year. We recruit against Penn State, and now more than ever with Urban Meyer gone we have a chance to really hammer Ohio. Etc...

While Louisville is always massive, the importance of it is mostly in how much redass we'll be feeling if we lose, and a decrease in momentum from the UNC win. And as everyone knows, momentum in basketball can quickly swing back the other direction. It won't be the end of the world if we lose, although a definite nut tap.

This bowl game isn't the Music City Bowl against Northwestern, this one is far more important, IMO. If we lose, it's fine and the program took a big stride forward, but a win would be incredible. The benefit of winning the bowl game has a much greater long-term effect than winning or losing to Louisville in a game that no one outside of Kentucky will be watching tomorrow.

Other than keeping Louisville fan in the going on 2+ years of sports depression, there is little for UK fan in this year's game that won't be forgotten in 2 weeks. A New Year's Day bowl win, 10-win season will have far longer lasting implications and good feelings than beating a rival we own, again.

THIS IS THE INTERNET WILLY

We damn near need to have a parking lot brawl about this stupid argument. This UL game does not stack up. Sorry. Even if it was a great basketball year with a lot on the line (it isn't...), it would still be very important, but pale in comparison to the best football season we may ever witness.

WOULD YOU RATHER DROWN TO DEATH OR BURN TO DEATH??? TGANKS FOR ALL THOUGHTFUL RESPONSES.

Stayed up till 2AM on Xmas eve to build my 2 year old sweet baby Jesus angel girl a kitchen set, the next morning made it all worth it, Xmas will be special for a while which I’m thankful for.

Always get my wife a big fancy present for Xmas, I’ll look forward to giving that present the most. But that’s because I’m all about servant leadership and being your brothers keeper. You see if she eats we all eat.

Going on baby moon number 2 tomorrow to Nemacolin for New Years. That’s right folks, not only have I gone on a baby moon but apparently I’m going on one every single time we’re gonna have a kid. We are set to arrive at 2PM tomorrow, just in time for me to be antsy and in a rush to get to the tv and therefore pissing off my pregnant wife and setting the tone for the extended weekend. Place is sweet though.

I truly give absolutely no shit about the bowl game. This season is a win no matter what, but basketball is my love and will choose it pretty much 99% of the time.

"Working" is a stretch.

"I'm around" is much more accurate. Got quite a bit done this morning, and will be on the :golf: after lunch if you need me.

-PTI(pti) bragging daily about having all the free time (and money) in the world yet not making it in for the wedding is a great look, btw.

-I suppose it depends on location, but I find Kroger sushi to be quite good, actually.
