Got what he deserved for trying to take a charge like that instead of, you know, actually trying to play defense.

(I hate secondary defenders taking charges like that and think a rule change is needed there.)
Yup, a lot of the nerd basketball podcasters that I listen to are calling for this rule change...a primary defender can take a charge but a secondary defender just standing and not playing D is a block. Would definitely be an improvement over the current rule ===> but that would require forward thinking by the NC2A.

That reaction. :joy:

Goose stepping
Dragging teammates all the way down the court
Popping his jersey
Doing the “hold me back!!” routine
Yanking his jersey up to his neck
Enticing the crowd with his digital theatrics
Flexing
Screaming/cursing at nobody in particular

I’m not sure there’s much left. Pretty much covered all the bases.

- Wettcat had like three close call emergency landings. Yommt was the one who got someone fired for a Paddock post.

- Flying to Chicago for the CBS Classic when we destroyed UCLA was my only "close call" flying experience. We blew an engine and had to land in bumf*** Indana.

- As I said from the start of last year, PJ Washington is my most disliked player of the Cal era. Some may say it's an irrational hate, but it's rational at at this point.

- Tubby coaching at NW50's Alama Mater, full circle.

- Closing on a place in Plano, TX at the end of the month.

- As of January 1, starting my own firm.

- The NBA getting rid of the no zone opened up a lot. You would think being able to zone would be better for today's game...but actually having to have athletes has helped the game so much more.

- Sooners shouldn't be in.

Millennial parents have started naming their kids "Kitrus" and pronouncing it "Citrus" already.

Learn life in the new world, UCL, imo.

Possible HOT N SPICY take:

Jamal Murray is trying his damnedest to be this generation's Reggie Miller - a high-scoring guard that everyone wants to punch in the face for his shit-talking. I applaud this development.
Of all the NBA players from Canada, Jamal Murray is the least Canadian.

He's also the only player in the history of the NBA Draft whose draft pick highlight reel was made up entirely of missing jump shots and getting his shot blocked. It's like the draft folks knew he'd turn into the league's biggest irritant by year 3.

I'm sure if you wanted to take the time, you could find many a millennial sports writer articles about the ASCENDANCE OF CANADIAN BASKETBALL WHAT DOES IT MEAN from 3-5 years ago. You'll probably even find a couple Myck Kabongo references.

Worth noting that the two best Canadian players are shit talkin' ass Jamal Murray and Shai Alexander, who I was assured would be Wildcats for life

-13 Years after meeting the crew at the 2005-06 extravaganza we're finally playing in the following year in a legit bowl game. That's pretty great. If you're still miserable over the season get over yourself. 9-3, several milestone events and records, legit bowl vs Penn St, top 15 ranking. What a fun season and seems to be a trend rather than a flame.

-Understand the yearning for a different style offense but you can't just do that overnight. Cal isn't recruiting the guys needed right now and I don't think it really works with a rotating door. Spacing isn't something these young dudes are going to be good at. Michigan and Nova are two of the best and not a coincidence they area always playing experienced guys.

-Eliminate conference championships and put in 16 team team tourney in place.

-I like the off defender charge rule but it's avoiding the point. The charge should be a rare call. Primary defenders making a defensive play are rarely set when they're contacted.

-Wreck It Ralph 2, good but not as good as #1. His first time to a theater and I finally have a movie partner. G is hooked, after a decade+ with WS refusing to go to movies I have a wing man.

-FAO Schwarz re-opened a month ago. :eyes: Planning a couple hours there.

-How'd the Begals do yesterday? Really nice day so I assume the place was sold out.

- 16 team playoff is stupid as hell. College football is awesome partly because it has the most meaningful regular season of any sport. That's already been diluted some with the 4 team playoff. Go to 16 and you've ruined it entirely

Given that college football is still (and probably always will be) a regional sport, yes, it's better to have a more meaningful 12/13 game season than a "fair" national title. I'd rather watch a double OT Georgia/Auburn game to decide who goes to the Sugar Bowl than 14th ranked 9-3 UCLA make a run in the 16 team playoff because half of the other teams' QBs ripped their ACL.

The NFL-ization of college football. Can't wait!! We'll finally have a true national champion, like the 2011 9-7 Giants. Very deserving.

The expansion of the NCAA football playoff is the rare time I disagree with Mike Leach.
Seems to me that 8 is probably a good number (only adding 1 more game for the Championship run). Take the Champions from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, and Pac 12 - then add 3 "at-large" teams. Rewards teams for winning their championships, but also gives other teams the opportunity to compete for the NC.
