Wenyen Gabriel has a better chance of being paid by Blacked.Com than a professional basketball team.
Wenyen can go make solid 6 figures tomorrow.

OR

He can come back for the BIG BLUE NATION and love of Kentucky Basketball.... and walk to class every day, practice like 4 hours a week over the next 4 months, stay poor, grind as a 6-7th man, etc.

Yup, Sacha was SO much better...

Alan Shipnuck shares what few details are known about Reed’s family situation. He’s estranged from his parents and sister, and has been since 2012. That’s when he married Justine Karain at age 22. Bill and Jeannette thought Reed was too young to get married, and according to Shipnuck, Reed then cut off all contact with them before the wedding and hasn’t spoken to them since.

Things have gotten more complicated. In 2014, a friend gave Bill, Jeannette, and Hannah tickets to the U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2. They attended to watch Patrick play, only to be escorted from the premises by police at Justine’s request. Then, in 2016, Justine wrote a Facebook post calling Bill and Jeannette “sick people,” and she accused them of being abusive toward Patrick when he was growing up. Hannah responded with her own Facebook post, calling Patrick a “horrible stranger” who wasn’t the same person he used to be.

Fatrick is a serious meanie.

Richards last 15 games he averaged like 10 minutes a game. Most of which were the first 5. Would love to have Sasha back but he didn't really lose minutes to Richards. Vando coming back took his time.

What did SKJ clearly do better, Chase? They had an equal TO rate.

Richards scored more, rebounded better, shot better and was way better at missing dunks.

I don't think either of them were difference makers. I think Montgomery will get the bulk of our minutes at C this year.

Umm, I can't believe anyone is seriously arguing that Richards compares with Sacha. Richards stats, as miserable as they were, don't even tell the full story on how bad he was. That's a hilariously bad take. Sounds like something some national writer would argue looking at raw stats having never watched a Kentucky game.

I'm not saying Richards was good. I'm saying SKJ wasn't any better.
Literally everything. Defended better, rebounded better, stronger with the ball, non-stupid haircut, less afraid of contact...

SKJ was even tall better than Richards, which is confusing, since Richards is taller but did nothing with his height.

He was better at catching, shooting, defending, rebounding, not falling down, not being slow off his feet, not fumbling balls out of bounds, not starting fast breaks the other way because of a mistake, and not giving up immediate and easy baskets. I’m sure the list is much, much longer.

Stats be damned. It was very easy to see with your eyes.

What ticks me off the most is these stupid form letter social media goodbyes that are obviously false.

Thanks Sasha omg! I am sooooo glad you had such an amazing and blessed time here in LexVegas! We will never forget your contributions to the program!!! LYLAS!!!

I have honestly thought to myself, "I am pretty sure I would rather have Bobby Perry (NBA TWO GUARD!) over Nick Richards."

I have never thought that about Sasha.

While I applaud us getting rid of any person with a hyphenated name who isn't Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, the fact that Nick Richards played over anyone, Earned Not Given included, was a crime against humanity. There has not been one single kid (including touching Eloy) who has been worse under Calipari.

Eloy.

I agree that SKJ was a slightly better defender, both sucked on that end of the floor tbh. Richards was a better shot blocker, but they both tried to block shots they couldn't get which resulted in easy put backs for the bad guys.

By no measurement was SKJ a better rebounder or shooter. Richards got 1.5 more boards a game in only 1 more minute. The shooting numbers speak for themselves.

They had the same exact TO rate.

Again, I'm not praising Richards. We were much better with Vanderbilt/Washington playing down low.

I'm saying SKJ isn't a loss that matters. Despite the perception on here, he didn't even produce as much as Richards.

But, I wish he would've stayed.

Stop.

I'm actually disappointed SKJ transferred, seemed to be putting it all together and think he would've been solid next year and extremely solid as a senior. A liggins, miller, harellson type if you will. Pretty disappointing we can't seem to keep those types players anymore for whatever reason.

This is a lazy argument.

Richards buffed his stats in the first 15 games against shitty (and undersized) OOC opponents. His true suckage didn’t expose itself until marginal SEC bigs absolutely murdered him on the regular.

SKJ wasn’t a world-beater, but is/was much better than Richards in just about every facet of the game - but especially on the defensive end.

Not sure how this is hard to comprehend.

Sasha Killeya-Jones seemed like a good, likable kid and it was absolutely ridiculous that Richards started over him.

That said, he is not a big loss.

The problem is that it is just entirely indicative of Calipari seeming to do anything possible to *NOT* have a decent senior in his program. I'm still pissed off about Izak Humphries going back to KangarooLand to make $50k last year.

Izak isn't a world beater but we sure as shit could have used a sweet-shooting junior seven-footer with good hands and a bit of a mean streak this year over Nick Richards.

OK, SEC games and the WVU games only...

Richards - 4.36 ppg, 3.94 rpg
SKJ - 2.47 ppg, 2.35 rpg

WHY DID CAL RUNNED OFT SASHA?!?!?

Next up.
