OT but “if you’re explaining, you’re losing” is going to be part of the new CLE curriculum I’m developing. It’ll follow other much needed topics as “choosing the hill you want to die on” and “knowing the room”.

Matt Norlander is a once-every-20-years type of journalist.

When I picture the stereotypical Springsteen listening, Diet Coke drinking, "what we do is akin to firefighters saving lives" sports journo, Norlander checks the most boxes.

Bob Ryan: Great teeth. Even greater basketball knowledge. Would love to pick his brain for 30 minutes.

Not noticing much difference between Cal now and Cal on Friday. I think he just likes his team.

Dan Dakich on Pardon My Take yesterday just went to town on Tom Izzo and how he played 11 guys against Syracuse and never put Miles Bridges in the middle of the 2-3 zone. Both problems imo.

Went from casually driving over on Friday (if we win Thursday) to meet my dad in Atlanta, to now-- his wife wanted to go, my sister is flying down, and now my wife wants to go. So a guys trip has turned into a whole stupid family thing.

Should be a peach trying to scalp!

It will be interesting to see how many of the NIT expiremental rules make it through for next year. I'm in favor of the extended 3pt line. Will give more space for the offense to operate, including more room for the bigs in the lane. Doesn't seem to be having an adverse effect on shooting either, as the collective 3FG% in the 2nd round of the NIT was about 38%.

That list might be the worst thing ESPN has ever done.

Michael Phelps is easily Top 3-5 yet nowhere to be found. Federer should be higher also.

8. Mayweather

10. Usain Bolt
11. Messi

Matt Norlander is consistently terrible. This time he’s re-seeded the sweet 16. UK is not in his top 10 and is behind Loyola and Nevada. He also has A&M as the 3rd worst team left.

I honestly don’t think he understands basketball at all. I’ve never seen him write anything smart or insightful.
I listen to the pod with he and Parrish from time to time and he is an underrated UK troll.

You obviously don’t remember the famous “Who’s NEXT?” bracket/tournament.

Or the “What if Michael Vick Was White?” article complete with altered pics.

This is dumb but by no means the worst.

Bob Ryan was onto Pitino pretty early as a terrible human being when Pitino demanded the Celtics title of team president for himself and that Red Auerbach lose the "President for Life" honorary title. Also, Ryan is supposedly the one during overtime of UK-Duke '92 wrote on a piece of paper and passed it down press row, "Greatest game ever?" , so Bob Ryan is good in my book.

Even paying attention to those type articles is ridiculous. They’re made to make you upset, not for you to agree. That way you talk about how it’s wrong. Like Brandon said, it’s literally ESPN feeding itself content.

Matt Damon will play the ATF agent investigating the bombings, as he is also finalizing his divorce from wife of 10+ years (played by Jennifer Connelly) and struggles with an ongoing drinking problem.

Patton Oswalt plays the bomber.

Flip those roles and you got yourself a movie.

Excellent point. I've seen several "college players are like slaves" articles and segments lately. Nope, not clicking on that. I don't care if the NCAA signs an $8 trillion contract; these guys have plenty of options now that don't include going to college for (gasp) one entire year. Football, however, is another story, and that's just pampered indentured servitude at the worst.

Nice of Chase to share his shopping habits, Christ. Maybe some people are better not knowing how to post pics after all.

Sounds like a good excuse to spend some quality time with your favorite internet friends. Enjoy some draught domestos. Talk about the upside of this team. Laugh at Bonzo's expense.
