So I had to work this Saturday during the Kentucky game (I manage a book store.) All you need to know about Crawford is that during the last five minutes of one of Kentucky's biggest games of the year, on a big basketball Saturday on the cusp of March, he's hanging out in the history section, by himself, browsing. Not even checking his phone. I question whether the guy even likes sports.
And you're absolutely positive it was this man?
*The drive from Louisville to Lexington on game day is a top tier trip to make. Flags flying and whatnot... gets the blood flowing.
*Rupp atmosphere on Saturday was pretty solid. We sat a few rows behind the Beans and a few rows in front of the Florida contingent of parents/family.
*3 minutes into the game when Rupp fell silent and the Florida fans were already a bit rowdy... that was a tough storm to weather. Its hard to even give it back when your team is scoreless.
*Pretty cool to feature the offense around the best offensive player. Basically force the ball to him. Amazing how that actually helps Bam become a better offensive player as well.
*My wife after seeing W&W's small child come back with an ice cream cone... "Will you go get me some ice cream. Will you go get me some ice cream. Will you go get me some ice cream. Will you go get me some ice cream. Will you go get me some ice cream."
*Nice little pregame at Hopcat with Geese. Crack fries and lava wings.
*Nice little post game at the Hyatt bar. Good to see Ursch and Black Mike for a second.
*Dinner at Carson's was a mess. Probably had a few too many drinks... then they were almost an hour late getting us seated- leading to more drinks at the bar... food was great but by the end of the night everyone was running on empty. They actually took $50 off the bill bc of the wait (which didnt cover what we ended up spending at the bar)
*Pup turned 10 years old yesterday. White in the face, but still pretty spry and hopefully has some more good years in him.
*Tornado season.

Had to physically restrain another coach at our Upward game this weekend and last year had to grab a kid to keep him from cold cocking another player so it's a pretty hardcore league.

Cal was real with Fox postgame basically calling him out in a way about his pick and roll defense and stepping up. Think Cal was also kind of calling him soft.

This team coming back from a 12-pt deficit to win without Fox feels like a turning point. If we win out, we're a 2 seed and a popular choice to get to Phoenix.
Kimmel was solid as the Oscars host. Show didn't mire in the political statements hardly at all, and Kimmel live tweeting at Trump was funny. Bringing that tour group that had no clue in the side door to get to meet everyone on the front row and touch the one guy's Oscar was hilarious. The Matt Damon running riff was also still funny. The f**** up at the end was bizarre, but it was still better than most Oscar shows. That said, Timberlake would kill at it. His outstanding ESPYs hosting job over 10 years ago was still the one time those things were even watchable.

- I have liked just about every big city I've visited and Cleveland was no exception (the one exception- Dayton, and wasn't a huge Knoxville fan either). Has some cool parts- especially liked Ohio City. Downtown has some character. The lake is a nice backdrop. But shit- downtown was basically dead during the day and even at a country show, there was no talent.
- I'm just hype right now about the Wildcats. This is the best time of the year. Buy in.

Yes, Richie, the ACC is phenomenal this year and the PAC 12 is average, and really top heavy.
Pretty much every computer metric out there has UCLA in the 13-16 range. Not really sure why its so hard to understand. This isnt some conspiracy that you Louisvillians concoct because you hate UL so much.
UL has a better resume than UCLA according to every service out there, except you. But you and mustard man knock yourself out trying to disprove them all.

UCLA scheduled Kentucky at Kentucky, and also played Michigan, Ohio St., and Texas A&M OOC. It's not like they were scheduling dogshit. Michigan and Ohio St. are usually pretty solid. A lot of their other games were local...UCSB, Long Beach St., etc...good for the state atkot.

I didn't bail on the game, I played in a golf tournament. Saw where we won and I'm gonna watch the 2H tonight. My life doesn't revolve around UK sports bub, you'll get it when you grow up and have kids and a family.

My only focus on UCLA is the impending disaster that the Ball dad will hopefully have on that program.
Also saw where Cousins and Davis are dominating.
