Can announcers please quit saying Tyrion is a good shooter? I mean, he sucks at every facet of the game for a college basketball player. He's no better than any other turd walkon. And that's fine.

Just wish they'd stop doating on him just to suck up to Cal.

Treat him like any other walkon.

College basketballs: Is this the worst SEC field you can ever remember?

Don't get me wrong. We're good. But A&M might be a double bye team in our league tournament. And we just got free tacos from Taco Bell off of them.

* You can't fake the enthusiasm these guys have for each other, though. I eat that stuff up.

It's awful. Not sure there's a win there that anyone nationally will be impressed with. And I can't say I blame them. It's worrisome because I think the stink of the league is starting to stick to us when it comes to seeding and the like.

We beat Kansas the last weekend in January and don't drop one to a 150 RPI SEC team at 9pm on t-shirt and ____-out night and the seeding will take care of itself.

2009. Of course, we were a party to that awfulness

Gotta hope Florida keeps winning. @ Florida is the only SEC game we have left that would impress anybody (blowouts not included). That's the great thing about the kansas game.

KU will likely only lose one more game max before they play us, which all but guarentees they will be top 5 for 1/28.

Kansas winning on a buzzerbeater travel at home, of course. They're worse than Duke in Cameron.

His last dribble was on the Jayhawk's shoe, about 40 feet from the basket. Four steps later, game-winning layup.

When Monk is not fading away on his jumphot...:boom:

Call me crazy, but I've never once thought about the sex of a mascot. Maybe it's because of my white, male privilege but I'm going to go with the fact that it's because it's a pretend animal that is used for a logo to delineate your team from the opposing team and it's usually some guy in a terrible costume.

Also, CUE IT UP taking a bit of a beating the last few days in college hoops. Not what I like to see. I feel trusting others with my decisions hasn't been the most profitable. I did very well the last few years on my own, but you almost have to ride it out for the season to get the full benefits.

Cal screaming 'go' is becoming like Peyton screaming 'Omaha'. Once you hear it, it's all you hear and I'm not sure what it's accomplishing.

Ummmm...maybe the fact that we can score in like 3 seconds? Averaging 90+ppg?

Keep yelling GO Cal.
Right, but I guess my point is that I'm not sure he could stop this group if he wanted to. He could yell 'go' or 'slow it down' and this team's going. It's not as if Fox and crew are like "I wasn't going to go BUT, since coach is yelling, I'd better hurry it up a bit."

Ha. Noticed not seeing ole CUE IT UP being re-tweeted recently. I guess you can't flop out your pecker when you are losing.

Its refreshing and against his air it out nature.

Standard eurostep up there. Nothing to see.

Cal needs to release an app for like fitbit or whatever that when it senses you slacking his voice comes through your phone yelling "GO!!"

He's yelling it mostly immediately at a defensive stop or (sometimes) a made basket. Even when you want to run, your instinct after getting the ball back is to take a second and gather yourself and look for a safe pass. Even a second of hesitation would ruin that breakout. And it's not just the ball handler. If multiple players don't immediately break out it doesn't work. You need five teenagers to all remember instantly something that's not instinctive.

If it becomes second nature later in the year he may stop, but they need the reminder to resist the impulse to take a dribble or stop and think. Keep yelling, Cal.

Our 2pt shooting is absurd.

Willis 21-31 68%

Monk 66-110 60%

Gabriel 25-42 60%

SKJ 17-29 59%

Bam 69-119 58%

Briscoe 57-105 54%

Mulder 10-19 53%

Fox 72-144 50%

Humphries 22-47 47%

Hawkins 7-20 35%

I also think we are good at basketball.
Good at all aspects--the dribbling of the basketball, the handling of the basketball, the passing of the basketball, the field goal shooting of the basketball, the dunking of the basketball, the free throw shooting of the basketball, the blocking of the basketball, the rebounding of the basketball, and the decision-making while in possession of the basketball.

So, in summary, we have numerous student-athletes on our team who are good at many things with regard to the basketball.
