I never thought I would find myself pulling for IU, but given their long and deep suffering for quality football, yes - - - far longer and more frustrating than our own, I hope they beat the dogshit out of Ohio State.

They now have 10 wins on the season: a first in their lengthy program history. Only two traditional P5 teams have now failed to do so: Iowa State and Vandy.

Sure, IU hasn’t played an SEC schedule, and have caught the likes of Nebraska and Michigan State and Michigan in re-building modes, but still, you can’t sneeze at a 10-0 record.

Like UK, they had a small(er) core of dedicated football fans, and I hope they are eating this sh!t up and making the most of it.

God knows, they deserve it!!

I can sneeze at their schedule, like ragweed is in bloom. They are getting far too much credit for their soft schedule. If they played our schedule they would probably be better than we are but only by a game or so.

I'm sick of high mediocrity being treated like some sort of giant killers. I hope OSU beats the dweeb back into them. They absolutely don't belong in the CFP.

I'd give IU about a 15% chance at a win. Their season kinda reminds me of UC making the 4 team playoff a few years back, but that team beat a so so ND. Don't think IU is beating tosu in Columbus.

Buckeyes will blow them out of the horse shoe Hack.
No shot

Oh, I have not predicted a Hoosier win.

My post was really directed toward their long-suffering fans and happiness that they have finally achieved a feat we have done twice since 2018: a ten win season.

Maybe they get 11, but who knows.

I will pull for them against the mighty i dotters in Columbus!

IU is a 12.5 point dog so your prediction of a 15% chance is right on target.

You must be outta your ever-loving mind rooting for those assholes, especially their scumbag fans in anything. Turn in your UK gear and fan card. Shame.

I will, too.
1 I can't stand OSU
2 I don't get the hate for IU. I realize they lead the series by a handful of games ..but still

I m happy for their long-suffering fans.

I’m old enough to remember Antwaan Randle El gashing UK as a dual threat QB, but I’ve never really thought of IU as a big football rival, and I would love to see them topple OSU. I’ve also enjoyed studying Cignetti as a case study in what a grand-slam hire can accomplish. Too bad that for every Cignetti there’s dozens of hires that wash up. Meanwhile, it’s weird as an SEC fan to watch B10 football. It’s like watching games in slow motion.

I've probably agreed with every post of yours I've ever read over the years, until now.

I can't stand OSU, but I truly hate IU. Their fans don't deserve squat, IMO; they're trash, and they hate UK with a passion.

I hope OSU beats them by 10 TD's, lol.

2. Just remember that last basketball game at IU. The school and their fans are festering puke.

Ohio State probably wins the game but being here in Big 10 Country I’ve watched a lot of conference games. IU has a shot to pull the upset if they play a near perfect game and get some turnovers. I’ll be pulling for Indiana as they have more NCAA loses than anyone. Being a 11 point dog means the odds makers believe Ohio State is only about a TD better than Indiana. Indiana’s QB is a transfer from Ohio U and most of there star players transferred in with the Coach.

THIS . I Loathe , I mean hate Tosu with the power of a thousand suns , I've trolled their fans for decades , but this group of IU wannabe's is getting loved on for beating literally no one . can you imagine then playing Georgia's schedule or Alabama's ? Or Ours ? Just get out with the praise , they deserve to be ranked 25th-30th . Thats plenty high . I hope Tosu beats them 58-3 .

I took Michigan and the points vs. IU based solely on the series history and cashed a nice bet. Will do so again on OSU on Saturday.

I hope IU wins and then advance at least one game on the playoffs if not win it all!

Number one it’s literally one of the greatest sports stories ever. New coach, bunch of no name James Madison transfers, historically the worst football program…and they have this season and make the playoffs.

That’s a movie.

Secondly it puts to bed all the excuses around here. Might just wake everyone up around here from brass n boosters to the “we remember the old days, be happy with 6-7 wins a year young grasshopper…”

No! F$&k all that. We’re 12 years in to being patient or content with the status quo because it’s slightly better than what used to be.

That mentality damn near destroyed our basketball program.

“Well Tubby couldn’t recruit so we’re just going to allow Cal to slide because god forbid we don’t have a number 1 recruiting class and draft pick”

Nope! IU can do it we can do it…times up!

Some of the folks who’ve responded here have had little contact with the “mid-west.”

For every Ass Hole in Indiana, there are 10 in Ohio.

If I were New Jersey’s Governor, my state slogan would be “Yeah, but we’re not Ohio!”

I’ve traveled a lot in both Ohio and Indiana. Hell, half of Indiana came from Kentucky in the two prior generations. At the funeral of a woman who grew up in my home town, her Indiana family gathered and sang my Old Kentucky Home . . . from memory.

IU’s season, as you eloquently explain, puts a stamp of authority upon our new age of college sports: it only took 130 seasons for IU to win ten games in a season, though Centre great, Bo McMillan got them to 9 wins in the 30’s and 40’s.
I actually like Indiana. Wish we still played them. Having said that, they have drawn an incredibly easy schedule, only played one team with a winning record (I think) and that was 6 and 5. If Michigan had any offense at all (they do not) they would have knocked off Indiana. We'll see how legit they are Saturday.
