I don't buy tix to events considering the height of those around me.I see both sides to this coin. It is fun to stand when you're excited, rally the team on, but you also have to be considerate of others who might not be tall enough to see over your standing, or be unable to stand up at all.
Like I said in another thread, I'm 6'7,". I pity the fool behind me when I stand.I don't buy tix to events considering the height of those around me.
Why do you call fellow UK fans "fools" just because you're taller?Like I said in another thread, I'm 6'7,". I pity the fool behind me when I stand.
You must have been behind me.Why do you call fellow UK fans "fools" just because you're taller?
Well, I didn’t attack you. I asked a question. This isn't the place for personally attacking others. Grow up.
Well said. To me there ought to be a "standing room only" area for fans who want to stand the whole game. Nothing wrong with it.It’s a tough thing for me. I have no issues with folks standing up and going crazy at big plays, good runs, or toward the end of the game. But to just stand up for the whole game to stand…I don’t know. I think you have to be considerate at that point.
I am 70. Started with Rupp/Nash. Memorial did not have this problem cause Rose Street side was all students with 10
Get a booster seat..I see both sides to this coin. It is fun to stand when you're excited, rally the team on, but you also have to be considerate of others who might not be tall enough to see over your standing, or be unable to stand up at all.
I can't imagine the cost of tickets if the games were still at Memorial.I am 70. Started with Rupp/Nash. Memorial did not have this problem cause Rose Street side was all students with 10
More students on every row than seats. Also had the Rose Street end of the balcony. Should have NEVER LEFT Memorial.
I'd likely need multiple booster seats
“Pity the fool” is a line from one of the Rocky movies. Why do you call fellow UK fans "fools" just because you're taller?
There’s roughly 22,000-23,000 fans at most games. I stand a lot but I understand some people don’t and some people can’t. You have no chance to change this scenario.I don't buy tix to events considering the height of those around me.

I really wish they didnt have tickets.
They def would jack tickets up but in the modern era where all your revenue is tv money…you don’t really need ticket money to survive (especially now w alcohol sales).I can't imagine the cost of tickets if the games were still at Memorial.
I know. But it reeked of inconsideration for others. If I was at a game I'd for sure stand up on an exciting play, but I'd also be concerned whether my standing up affected other's ability to see the game.“Pity the fool” is a line from one of the Rocky movies.
Regardless of how one feels on the issue, if that cop told the guy to sit down or else he was going to jail. That is absurd. I would make him take me to jail just so I could sue the hell out of everyone.I see both sides to this coin. It is fun to stand when you're excited, rally the team on, but you also have to be considerate of others who might not be tall enough to see over your standing, or be unable to stand up at all.
Sounds like a typical cop who doesn’t know the law and hates when someone doesn’t respect his authority. Worst kind. The cop threatening to arrest is out of line. Look how many people were standing. And the complainers sell your seats.
I would definitely love to have 2-3 games a year against big schools at Memorial for the atmosphere alone. Even that NIT game was lit and nobody cared about it.They def would jack tickets up but in the modern era where all your revenue is tv money…you don’t really need ticket money to survive (especially now w alcohol sales).
We could easily do a couple first come first serve games with a capped ticket price of $50 (think like buying movie tickets) in memorial a year and it not hurt the bottom line
Even if it wasn’t your biggest games but games like Vandy, Miss St…. Good way to not make the season ticket holders mad they are missing primetime games but still have a quality matchup.I would definitely love to have 2-3 games a year against big schools at Memorial for the atmosphere alone. Even that NIT game was lit and nobody cared about it.
So I went to a game this year and it was my first time sitting in the lower section. Historically when we went I had to get 5 tickets so couldn’t get lower arena. Now that we are all older this time just my youngest son and I went. We had really good seats and could tell we were with the regular season ticket holders. It’s a tough thing for me. I have no issues with folks standing up and going crazy at big plays, good runs, or toward the end of the game. But to just stand up for the whole game to stand…I don’t know. I think you have to be considerate at that point.
What is it with your awful takes and attacks on fellow fans?I'll say it again, this is why I wish rupp had suites...so the ppl that think they're important and the ppl on hospice care could be stowed away so everyone else can cheer
Its a rivalry game for a 1st year coach on a roll and these ppl can't get excited
Blue coats calling the cops is the most absurd thing ive ever heard...and charge them with what?
