First Caller on KSR Post Game

There is one exception to people standing . In the upper tier the architects screwed up the design for the four sections at the end facing the backboard. They left too much room for the front row . So the people n that row can step forward and lean in the rail and totally block the view of those in the rows behind them regardless of whether they stand . Architectural malpractice.
A friend had season tickets on the front row of that section since Rupp was opened . Got bumped to the second row during the remodel and went from the best seats in the house to the worst seats because of the jerks in front of us who would not control their oversized kid who continually blocked everybody s view . Police even came one time .

I patiently explained to the ushers the problem and was told “ we will never ask anybody to sit down at Rupp” . The problem was made worse because the ushers knew the folks and even sat in their seats and chatted like family when some of their 12 seat block was unused . I still think they cheated to get the seats because how likely is it that twelve people who knew each other AND the ushers would end up with prime seats .

For years I had 2 seats to every game and one third of the other two seats for entertaining. I gave them up as it was just a negative experience. Now have one half of two seats downstairs and buy a few other games to go to 12 a year . I’m better off BUT THE PEOPLE IN THE FRONT ROWS OF THOSE SECTIONS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO STAND. Also UK should never use that architectural firm again and should discount the tickets on the three rows behind the jerks and advise people before they buy what they are getting into.

BTW I have a bad back and prefer to stand . Standing is not normally an issue except in the location I described above .
