I see both sides to this coin. It is fun to stand when you're excited, rally the team on, but you also have to be considerate of others who might not be tall enough to see over your standing, or be unable to stand up at all.
Oof! It's Louisville. I'm sorry, but this stuff chaps me. Get off your tail if you wanna see the action during a RIVALRY GAME.
I don't buy tix to events considering the height of those around me.
Like I said in another thread, I'm 6'7,". I pity the fool behind me when I stand.
Why do you call fellow UK fans "fools" just because you're taller?
It’s a tough thing for me. I have no issues with folks standing up and going crazy at big plays, good runs, or toward the end of the game. But to just stand up for the whole game to stand…I don’t know. I think you have to be considerate at that point.
Well said. To me there ought to be a "standing room only" area for fans who want to stand the whole game. Nothing wrong with it.
I am 70. Started with Rupp/Nash. Memorial did not have this problem cause Rose Street side was all students with 10
More students on every row than seats. Also had the Rose Street end of the balcony. Should have NEVER LEFT Memorial.
I can't imagine the cost of tickets if the games were still at Memorial.

The cop threatening to arrest is out of line. Look how many people were standing. And the complainers sell your seats.
I'm old but I can't understand the mindset of people getting mad about people standing. Their heads must explode when somebody walks or runs.

There’s roughly 22,000-23,000 fans at most games. I stand a lot but I understand some people don’t and some people can’t. You have no chance to change this scenario.
Such BS. You buy your ticket I buy mine. You wanna sit then sit but I’m standing. That’s how it should be. Otherwise they need to disclose this prior to purchasing a ticket that you’re not allowed to stand and cheer the Cats on. This isn’t an opera and the more exposure it gets the more the University will need to explain and answer for it. Screw the old terds and their money I am cheering for my Cats. You don’t wanna cheer stay home.

I really wish they didnt have tickets.
They def would jack tickets up but in the modern era where all your revenue is tv money…you don’t really need ticket money to survive (especially now w alcohol sales).
We could easily do a couple first come first serve games with a capped ticket price of $50 (think like buying movie tickets) in memorial a year and it not hurt the bottom line
