No doubt that if he stays healthy he is going to win again. I tried to tell buddies of mine that it comes down to its Tiger freaken Woods. He is the most talented and greatest golfer of my generation if not all time. Yes, there is a lot of young and great talent on tour now but they are not Tiger Woods. He has that extra gear (mentally) that nobody on tour has.

Really liked what I saw. Could tell he was not in "golf shape" and it wore on him each day and finally got the best of him on Sunday.

If he stays healthy, gets more tournament rounds in him, and regains most of the confidence he once had he is going to win some events this year and I would not put it past him to win a major in the next year or two.

This could be the beginning of one of the greatest sports comebacks and could be a tremendous era for golf. Just hope he can stay healthy.

You do realize that post was when he was returning from back surgery in 2018, right? Pretty spot on. Agree, he’s done now. May be able to do something on the Champions Tour being able to ride a cart but even that may be a stretch now.

The tour has to outlaw these guys lining up putts by walking along the line and taking a shit. It takes forever and is not necessary. These guys are so anal it’s pathetic. Whoever started this needs to be banned from the tour. A damn joke.

I am probably in the top 5% of golf fans I know . . . and have zero interest in the President's Cup. It is almost always a total mismatch played during football season. Would honestly rather watch the fall PGA events, at least you have guys trying their ass off to keep their playing privileges for the next season.

cant have nothin. USA about to give the 5-0 lead up. Getting straight boar raced. Can only hope to come back and get a tie in the 2 down match and maybe win the all square one. 3.5 to 1.5 is bad, but not as bad as losing 5-0 today.

Buddy of mine texted me a video of a golf course in Boone NC (sorry, can't figure how to link) that was basically a lake/river yesterday, no idea how they will get it back into shape anytime soon.

Woke up this morning and was shocked to see USA win again. What does that make, about 20 in a row? LOL

Would be funny to see the LPGA have the same format, Internationals would be about as big of a favorite in that format as USA is in the PGA event.

Enjoyed the event. Thought Weir screwed up by playing the 3 Canadians all Saturday. Big time favoritism like Zach did at Ryder Cup last year. Pendrith was awful and Hughes wasn’t much better. Furyk played Finau too much and probably Clark but it worked out.

thought Wer did a horrible job. Clearly favored the Canadians and didn't play some players enough. Think the Ryder has shown that you have to give your best players some rest and try to play everybody.

Had hoped Theegala would play better. He didn't help his Ryder Cup chances, although Bethpage seems to be a good course for him. At this point, Ryder Cup looks like:

automatics: Scottie, Xander, Cantlay, Bryson, Morikawa

likely as of now: Homa (played so well last time but not a bomber), Henley (not a bomber but is playing so well), Clark (is a bomber and still playing well enough), Harman (didn't play well, isn't a bomber but is high up the RC rankings), Horshel (didn't play well 2 years ago in Presidents Cup but he's high up the rankings as of now)

whom I would like picked: JT (always brings it), Koepka (has won at Bethpage and seems to like NY courses), Young (fits the course well), Zalatoris (ball striker could team with Scottie although Henley did well with that this past weekend).

I do no think Harmon deserves a spot. he did nothing to help his cause in the Presidents Cup. He was the worst player on the team. Homa wasn't far behind him.

Agreed. At this point, I think he's in position to get an automatic spot but if he falls out of the automatic spot rankings he shouldn't get a captain's pick. Not only did he play poorly but Bethpage Black is not a good course for his game. On Homa, he has not played well in the past year. He was so good in last year's Ryder Cup but it's a different course, he's not playing well...so you're probably correct.

Man, that wind played havoc with late tee times at KFT finals today. Rodman needed to win to get tour card. Had lead, then doubled and bogeyed, birdied last to lose by one. A few others lose chance at card late. Heartbreaking for some.

Getting fitted for new irons today. Have not researched anything. Going in with an open mind with no preconceived notions.
Best way to do it. JMO, iron technology is the same between all manufacturers these days. They all have an assortment that fits all categories of players. Comes down to what looks and feels best. Personally, game improvement irons look horrible to my eye and I can’t work the ball with them but play with other good players who like them. I love Mizuno irons. Only brand I will ever play with. They have a style that will fit any type of player. Currently have the MP-20’s.

OMG I cannot make a 4-5 footer.
Have lost all confidence with the putter.
Not sure what happened, but since Helene got the wind up in Lexington, I haven't made a damn thing.

Easy putting tips please??

Just tap it in. Give it a little tap tap.

If I miss a straight 5-6 footer, its usually to the right
Sounds like either a push or speed thing. Sometimes on a short putt I will not hit it and it will run out of speed, dive off to the left. Of course other times I will come across the putter and push it right. MOST of the time though with me, I do not hit it hard enough for fear of knocking the back out of the cup or rimming out.
I thought you was saying you used my tip of "aiming for the left edge if you are pushing putts." Might be a mental block or not taking the putt serious enough and going thru your normal routine. Good luck on figuring it out.

So I watched the last hour or so of the Black Desert Tournament yesterday, and saw where the final pair were both lefthanders. TBH, cannot recall ever seeing that on the final day of any tournament. Being LH myself, I paid close attention to the slo mo reviews of their swing.

Anyone remember a final round where Mickelson played with Bubba Watson or Mike Weir? Only three I could think of that could possibly have played in the last group together on a Sunday
