Zion is starting day one wherever he goes, as is Cam.
For the poster that was wondering if we will have room in the 2018 class, I see Diallo as a one and done player and Bamba, if we land him also as a one and done. After that the rest of the signees staying or going would depend on what type of season they had. None of them are guaranteed to go pro after 1 year but if they blow up, kind of like Jamal Murray, it is possible.
I don't see 2018 being a big class mainly because the 2017 class will be staying around with the exception of 1 or 2. So we need Bagley and a big SG and Zion would b perfect.
If that's the case, then why were people concerned that Diallo could have just went pro out of high school if he stayed there this year? Because that was one of his options had he not enrolled here. So technically, that wouldn't have been 1 year removed from high school.
It's interesting to me that a kid like Bagley can do such an elaborate 'college list' announcement with all that Nike Elite gear (must've been like seven authentic uniforms?) AND it's sponsored? I guess somebody could've bought that with a credit card and returned it. He could be a wealthy kid, I have no idea.

Yes, Duke landing Langford/Williamson would be terrifying. They might go 40-0 again like they did with Giles/Tatum this year and what Pitino called, "the most talented team since the 1996 team."

Hugely funny, but we know there's a giant asterisk next to the Giles/Tatum year. I'm not saying they'll be unbeatable or that UK will be left with no one good, just making the point that there is a scenario where we don't get any of the three best players in the class. I'd prefer that not happen. That's all.

The graduation requirement only applies to US prospects. International guys just have to meet the age requirement. That's why Thon Maker was able to go to the draft last year. Although he may have graduated back in 2011 anyways.
I think Richards, PJ , Bamba and Diallo are one and done. 3 of those 4 are predicted lotto right now anyway. I also think Humphries leaves after next season and gabriel if he stays this season.
I expect Williamson to take his recruitment all the way down to next spring, and there is no telling where he will go.
I agree with your premise. Diallo is OAD. If he comes, Bamba will be OAD. A couple of other guys, Washington, Vanderbilt, could have breakout seasons and get drafted after 1 year, but that depends on unpredictable circumstances. Calipari probably won't have many scholarship to offer a year from now, unless there are transfers. But I don't necessarily think that's bad, as long as the available scholarships are given to great players. And that's Calipari's specialty.

I love me some Cam Reddish. His game will translate well to college. I expect him to be a difference maker wherever he goes.
